Here's the deal - I have 2 mutts, they are both happy chewers; one however is a destructive chewer. My challenge is to find toys that they both can enjoy, yet will last, so as to protect my pocketbook. My power chewer chews right through Kong toys.
I've had this toy for over a month and they still enjoy it and it shows no signs of damage! The cool thing is you can put a large food items in the pocket and if they're big enough, it won't fall out till the pups have licked it to a nub. I like to use Pedigree Jumbones cut into thirds.
I highly reccomend all West Paw toys as their construction is soft enough to be fun for the dog yet strong enough to take abuse.

I have a 65 pound American Bulldog & Lab mix who can tear apart the black Kong toys in under 15 minutes. I tried many other toys that were labeled "indestructible, super tough, or for aggressive chewers" with the same result - little piles of rubber shreds on either side of my dog as he sinks his teeth in and pulls the toys apart. Ordered one of these Zogoflex Tux toys after reading the reviews hoping to finally find something that would stand up to his choppers. Received an orange one a few days later and showed it to my dog. He was on it immediately. It quickly became his favorite toy. So how did it stand up to his chewing?

Well, he's been chewing on it for over a week now and the thing still looks brand new. I've even tucked treats in the underside which really makes him go at the thing and he still hasn't gotten any pieces off of it! He also likes to play fetch with the Tux. In fact, it is the only toy we have that he will bring to me and drop in my lap, asking me to toss it.

It's a chew toy, a treat holder, and a fetch toy and it has stood up to the hardest chewing dog I've ever known. Well worth the money, in my opinion!

My dog tears up pretty much everything, he loves this toy and hasn't made a dent in it at all. He uses it as a chew toy but its great to throw and watch him try to get it as it bounces all around too! As a bonus you can also hide treats in there.

Indestructible no, but they do last longer then any other toys we have gotten. We bought all three, the Huck, Hurley and the Tux. The Tux is the only one that is left.

The Hurley (stick) lasted a few days as he was chewing on it for hours and hours and he simply LOVED IT. That was his favorite. He split it in the middle and we had to take it away only after a few days.


After splitting the Hurley, it didn't take him long to move onto the Huck. The Huck lasted a few WEEKS but then once he started getting into it, we had to take it away. Milo (1 year yellow lab) started getting it apart and then the rest came apart in chunks kinda fast. This did last WEEKS tho. Unfortunately it's just a little to heavy to toss in the house. It's more a chew toy then a throwing ball.

The tux, somehow someway is still going strong and it seems that because we fill it with peanut butter, he does not want to destroy it so we dont take it away :) He chews it all the time but not with the same ferociousness that he does the others.

I called the company 3 separate times to check on this "no questions asked replacement warranty" Holy crap they aren't kidding. The customer service people pick up so fast and they are INCREDIBLY pleasant. You get a one time replacement of any/each toy. So I bought all three and they will replace all three one time. They also assured me that the toys are non toxic and it's ok if they do ingest a little bit of the "special composition material".


For the money these are the best toys we have ever bought. I will buy another set this Christmas to keep the Milo man busy :)

I purchased this toy because so many of the reviews stated that it could withstand aggressive chewers. Well my dog must be the king of all "Aggressive Chewers". I gave it 3 stars because it lasted for 3 days in my house. Which is quite impressive considering my dogs' toys normally last about 30 minutes tops. Like all the other toys out there, this toy too can be destroyed, but perhaps for small dogs, it would work perfectly. However, pits and larger breeds may find it a neat little challenge for a day or two. But that about it.

this dog chew toy is one of 2 dog toys that my 3 seventy plus pound dalmatians cannot destroy. I would recommend this toy for very powerful chewers. they have had this toy for around 2 months now and there is a couple teeth marks but they still look almost brand new. the dogs do play with them especially if you fill the middle of the toy with a treat. If not for this product i would be at a loss on what to give my dogs for toys. They only other toy they cannot destroy is the durable nyla bone for extreme chewers. I use to buy them the extreme kong but they chewed it up a couple months ago!!

We received one of the bright blue Tux dog toys for our dog, a 10-year old golden retriever mix. In her youth, she could demolish a chew toy in no time, so we've always had to buy tough ones. For her to be interested, however, they have to smell or taste like they are food. This toy seems tough enough, and if we put a bone inside it, she will chew on the toy until she gets the bone out, but then she ignores the bone. I like the idea of an eco-friendly, safer chew toy, but it would really help if it had some flavor added when it is manufactured.

This toy does what it's advertised to do. My Lab-Basenji mix is wicked on chew toys, and I usually stick with bones and Nylabone products. This is also great for stuffing with treats and peanut butter for a boredom chaser, and bounces crazy, too! Worth the $$ and I've spent plenty looking for toys that last, trust me! The company will also replace a damaged toy one time, and re-cycle the returned toy, so keep your packaging for contact info and instructions, should the need arise.

My dog, Caelan, is really enjoying her new Tux. I stuff it for her to enjoy at mealtime, and she likes to play with it in-between meals too. It's bouncy, and she likes to chase and fetch it. She's not a big chewer, so I can't comment on how tough the Tux is. The only negative I have come up with is that the stuffing space could be a little bigger. But that would probably make it less durable. Thanks for a great product!

Excellent dog toy for aggressive chewers. I bought one for each of my german shepherd dogs. These are the first chew toys to survive their constant abuse. I would highly recommend this product.
