This clock sucks so badly that you could use it as a vacuum cleaner!

It keeps time very erratically. It will keep time perfectly for 3 or 4 days, then become very fast or very slow. If you adjust the fast/slow screw the clock overcompensates (if it was too fast it will now be too slow). It's supposed to run 36 hrs., but, now that I've had it for a couple of months, it stops after 10 or 12 hr.

Bottom line, don't waste your money. Spend a little more and get something decent.

The Westbend wind up alarms clock, especially the Baby Ben style, are my favorite clocks. It is very disappointing that of the three I bought recently 2 were broke within a week. They both just stopped! The wind up key is so close to the other tools that I keep breaking nails. I have been buying these alarms since 1979 but these clocks from China are deplorable in workmenship. I will be looking for another brand.

Looks nice. Does not sound too loud. Few minutes slower every day. After adjusted the screw on the back to the + sign (per instructions) a little (about from one mark to the next), it ran 30 minutes faster within a few days. Adjusted back to the - sign a little, it still ran 15 minutes faster within a couple days or so. Guess just keep trying to adjust bit by bit.

Only a Baby Ben will do when you need an alarm clock. Sometimes older is better. In this case the reliability of the original Baby Ben. This one is a good size, not too small and not too large. Love the face and base colors. Digital is great but everyone should have at least one wind-up alarm clock and Baby Ben is the only choice for me. You cannot find Baby Ben's in stores and the perfect place to shop is Amazon. Love this product!

I bought one of these Baby Ben alarm clock, except mine has the black face with the chrome trim ring around the perimeter. The clock did not hold accurate time, even after adjusting the fine tune adjustment screw on the rear. I really like the looks of the clock in that it appears to have real glass and real chrome and medal housing. I had the same issue where the clock did not even run a full 24 hours even though it is supposed to have a 36 hour movement. Another bad thing from my experience is the fact that the knob that adjusts the time broke, probably due to the fact that it was only made out of plastic and could not withstand the torque of adjusting the time.

I really like the looks of the clock, but as others have said; it does not have the quality and longevity of the old time Big Ben clocks that were rather dated in their appearance. Oh yes.... I am the type of person who takes very good care of my possessions, so my experience did not result from abuse. After a few years of sitting on the shelf, I got a pair of pliers to adjust the time through the small hole where there was still a little stem and after winding up the clock, the clock would not remain running. Oh yes.... today when I tried to wind the clock to get the movement going again... the internal spring got sprung, rendering the clock dead.

I would say that my Baby Ben had less than a year of use, so there is really no excuse for it's dying so prematurely. I really like the sound of the mechanical movement in a geared clock and also the nostalgia of having a wind up alarm clock, so it was really a disappointment to have a really cool looking Baby Ben, and to have it die so prematurely. I would have expected it to last at least ten or fifteen years, since these clocks held a reputation of quality and longevity. Great Looks, but terrible quality and longevity.

This clock is so cute!! It looks just right in my antique country mix. Winds up. Has a second hand! Quiet tick tock sound. Love this.

NYC Holdings LLC 11504 Baby Ben Clock
Very satisfied so far. Alarm loud, ticking soft enough. Winders are easily accessible and manual adjustment fast/ slow works. Pleasing appearance if you like retro.

It's a nicely made clock of a style long gone by. I need the bell to wake as I can't hear the beeps and whines of electronic alarms.
My only surprise was that every winder works counterclockwise !

The sound volume of my dinky little battery powered travel alarm clock just doesn't do the job. The wind-up mechanical Baby Ben is far more effective for me at home and on the road.

I have been having so much trouble finding a wind up clock WITHOUT a battery! When I saw the selection at Amazon I was so happy. I read the reviews, I loved the look of this clock because the colors were unique. The knobs to set the clock and the alarm are so close together, but I worked through that. The problem is the small "alarm" area shown on the front of the clock. It is not accurate. When you are depending on this clock it better go off at the time I "thought" I set it for but it was never accurate. I would rather have the alarm be a hand that I can set instead of a little box. Nice looking clock but not good enough to rely on.
