The rivet in these scissors didn't hold the two parts together and they fell apart after the second use. I will buy a different brand next time...

I can't speak for the "anti-microbial" properties of these scissors: I didn't run my own mad scientific lab study on them to determine their germ content. I think they stick that on there so the germaphobe parents out there will buy these.
I got these super cheap, as a way to eat up an amount on a purchase so I could get free shipping. I think I spent like a buck on these.
They work, they're nice. These are good scissors for the kids to use on construction paper and stuff. They have this kind of ridged edge on one of the handles, but I don't find that it's any help as far as getting a grip is concerned. I think a rubberized grip would have been nicer. But hey, it was a buck so who cares?

I bought three pairs of kids scissors from Amazon and all of them failed. Two had a very weak hingers and were returned. The third plastic blades just don't last for long. This pairs seems to do its job as scissors. But I am not sure it is safe for kids because it has metal blades.
