5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy!
It is hard to know what you are going to get online. Honestly, though, with the packaging the way it is now-a-days you really don't get much better access to hands-on in the store. Anyway, I'm really, really pleased with this 2-pack of scissors. They might be the sharpest pairs(s) I've ever held in my hands. The hinge action is ultra-smooth, they are unnaturally light...

1.0 out of 5 stars Center Pivot Point Breaks With Moderate Stress
I purchased this because I thought it would be sharp and durable. I was cutting the stems of roses, one at a time, when the two parts of the scissors fell apart. I would have thought the blade and pivot points, that obviously get the most wear and tear, would be titanium. Nope, the pivot point has a plastic nut which gave way. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link which, in this case, is plastic. The manufacturers should not claim this item to be titanium if one of its major wear and torque points is plastic. I was pleased with the sharpness of the blade portion but gave it a 1 star as I did not like being mislead into believing this was a titanium scissor.

1.0 out of 5 stars Skissors, April 4, 2010
This review is from: Westcott Titanium Bonded Scissors Set, 5" and 7", Pack of 2 (Office Product)
I got this set at a store. I only use the small westcott Scissors for cutting paper, nothing thick. After about 2 months time, minimal use, the plastic on the finger hole cracked. I now can not use the Scissors, that is unacceptable quality.

Nice feel and Scissor blades though. Wish they were made stronger.

These scissors definitely do cut cleanly and smoothly. The smaller one is great for cutting intricate shapes. Very well made. My only gripe, which is probably my own fault, is I find it uncomfortable to cut more than a few pages/pictures. I usually prefer scissor handles that can fit three fingers on the bottom and my thumb on top. So if you do a lot of crafts or cut a lengthy amount of time, you should purchase the right or left handed ones. They are defintely more comfortable to handle.

The Titanium and selling price is what sold me on this product.

So far, it hasn't disappointed. It remains sharp and the assembly is well done....MUCH BETTER than those plastic/steel scissors you find in cheap stores!

These work great, so great this is my second set. They cut well on many materials and items, feel sturdy in one's hand and comfortable.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sharp blades - Poor grip, April 19, 2011
This review is from: Westcott Titanium Bonded Scissors Set, 5" and 7", Pack of 2 (Office Product)
These are very sharp, but try and cut anything with any thickness and the grips break as they are not nearly as strong as the blades...

1.0 out of 5 stars Company does not stand by Lifetime Warranty, April 1, 2011
This review is from: Westcott Titanium Bonded Scissors Set, 5" and 7", Pack of 2 (Office Product)
I had a pair of these scissors for a few years, one day they just broke during normal use. After much effort I was able to find the companies contact information. I sent the multiple emails asking how I can return the scissors for repair or replacement. I have not received a single reply.

It's pretty rotten to claim your product has a "Life Time" warranty when you won't stand by it! I suppose they must realize how shoddy all their scissors are really made. First time I've ever had scissors just fall apart. I have other older pairs from Fiskars and other companies that I use often, still going strong.

After checking reviews for all Wescott scissors on Amazon and other sites, I see many disgruntled buyers. Stay AWAY from Wescott scissors, not just this pair but all of them. Go with Fiskars or OIC to get your moneys worth.

These are the best. They can cut through a credit card like a hot knife through butter. (easier with the 7") See the pictures, I have uploaded a picture at 40X magnification at the cut and you can tell how sharp it is.
