I use this timer for turning on my onboard batteries charger on my bass boat. What I do is set it to turn on for a few hours every week. It's VERY, VERY simple to use, not like one of those fancy digital timers (been there, done that!) I leave the charger plugged in and this timer comes on and switches off perfectly, resulting in perfectly charged batteries every time I go fishing. I don't like to leave the charger on 'hot' all the time; I have a good friend who had a similar high dollar charger with auto on-and-off, but it malfunctioned, dried up the batteries, which caught fire and burned his boat and a half dozen others to the ground before the firefighters could extinguish the fire!!! So, this little jewel keeps me from having to drive 120 miles roundtrip to just charge my batteries! Bottomline: Great price, fast delivery, perfect product; what more could you ask for?

The only reason I got this timer was to keep "little fingers" from turning the light it was controlling from going off and on and off and on and off and on.
It has NO BUTTONS OUTSIDE of the box and that keeps little fingers from playing with it.
I did not realize BEFORE I bought it here that it does not allow a person to see the "exact" time they want a light to come on and go off.
Far from it.
More like the exact time, give or take 1 1/2 hours!
The pegs are kind of challening to set but once you get the hang of it they work okay.
I wish I had read a little more of the fine detail before I bought it.
It DOES WORK to keep out the little one, with a little piece of tape to keep the box securly closed.
I would only buy this again if I had NO OTHER options.
