OK product, the mechanism to set the on/off times is a little difficult to use (requires nimble fingers to set the tiny switches) and the On-Timer-Off switch is difficult to see in low light.

Those are minor annoyances; what made me write the review and give one star is the fact that after 2 weeks mine stopped working. The power strip itself works, but the timer no longer switches the outlets.

I returned this and was sent a new one which worked for 2 1/2 years. Here I am shopping for another one because, as another reviewer reported, the timer mechanism is jammed and won't let me set the time anymore.

The ironic thing is that the power this thing saved in the time it worked will not even come close to offsetting the energy and materials used in it's construction. It's not easy being green!

After about six months, the timer mechanism itself started breaking down. At this point, it is next to impossible to set (something seized up to prevent one from rotating the dial), and it looks like it may also be running slow now.

Works great. The directions could be a little more clearer (pictures would be helpful) but eventually I figured it out. My mistake was in pushing one of the wee little tiny pegs forward. The light would go out but then in 15 minutes come back on. What I needed to do was push ALL the pegs (on the dial) up until the next time I wanted it to come on or go off. After I figured that out it is just what I needed. I like that I can plug 4 in on the timer & the other 4 are off the timer. I have two bearded dragon cages & each need two plugs so this works great! It took me awhile to find one that would fit my needs. Alot of the reptile one's are made for "night heat" lights to come on when the day lights go off. Bearded Dragons don't need that feature.

This power strip timer does exactly what I wanted. I use it to reboot a wireless internet router in the middle of the night. It uses mechanical switches to set off and on intervals at 15 minute intervals. I would like a version that I could set to power on and off in a shorter interval, but I have no complaints about the product.

Cheap parts lead to failure of the timer. At least it works as a power strip now.

Recently bought a digital one from home depot for $19, much happier.

I use this to reset my security DVR every night. The timer mechanism works great, but the outlets are spaced too closely together. The A/C adapter for my security DVR (which is average size) takes up the space of 4 outlets. Other than that, this product works great.

I bought this product to control the lights for growing plants and it turned out to be more than just a timer strip with lots of outlets, well it's much more than that. I like the fact that four of the outlets are independent so they aren't affected by the timer at all, plus having four outlets set to the same timer helps me to know when the lights are on in a closed off room. I just put a nightlight outside of the door and plug it into the timer outlet on the strip and you have your very own monitor system. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that it didn't come with the cover for the timer, which really isn't a problem at all since I'm just using it for plants anyway, but I don't really like paying for something and getting something that's not quite the same thing or isn't all there. If I pay for a power strip timer with a cover I expect to get just that, now if I decide to remove the cover on my own that's my option, but now I don't get that option.

Either way, don't let that change your mind about this product, it's still a good product if you need a lot of outlets for one timer. Plus it was affordable so I really shouldn't complain.
