The Westek Indoor Mechanical Countdown Timer turns lights and motors off at selected times up to 12 Hours. It is easy to install in any single pole / single throw outlet and will replace any single gang switch. This Timer breaks the circuit at the end of the timing cycle to cut electrical power. The switch ratings are: 1 HP 125 VAC, 2HP 250 VAC, 20 Amp 125 VAC, 10 Amp 277 VAC, and 5Amp 125 VAC Tungsten.

This timer lasted about a year -- enough to be out of warranty. Now once turned on, it doesn't ever shut off. Shoulda bought an Intermatic the first time.

This is a great little timer. I'm not a big fan of the electronic units, in part because I question their internal quality and the fact that they are consuming energy -- albeit just a small amount -- continuously. OTOH, this mechanical timer is simple and its moving components are sealed. It's bene in service driving a whole house fan for a few months with predictable behavior.
I can compare this quite favorably to similar units sold at the big box stores from GE. They use a plastic front face which screws onto the electrical box, and the plastic is so thick that any faceplate attached cannot mount flush with the itself, making for a very poor looking installation.

got this timer and it worked properly for one week, timer now stops at the 2 hour mark and stays there all the time
