4.0 out of 5 stars Very Cute But Too Darn BIG!
I was so excited to get these. I wear 8.5 to 9.5. They do not come in half sizes, so I thought a 9 would do. The overall quality seemed very good but they were WAY TOO HUGE. I bought gel inserts and wore thick socks, but still, no way. I gave them to my neighbor who wears a 10 wide. The size 9 fit her great. Maybe a size 8 would work for me? I'm not sure I'm up for the...

I do not recommend these boots. I live in a moderate climate and have worn these boots approximately 15 times. This week I took them out to wear and found they have already come apart at the back seam. They are fashionable, cute, and I truly loved them. But, I did not find them to be quality boots at all. They have not lasted even one season for me. When I contacted...

This week I took them out to wear and found they have already come apart at the back seam. They are fashionable, cute, and I truly loved them. But, I did not find them to be quality boots at all. They have not lasted even one season for me. When I contacted the manufacturer regarding what I considered to be a manufacturer's defect, they were cavalier about my complaint. I would not recommend these boots due to their total lack of durability.

I wanted a waterproof slip-on boot that I could quickly put on in the morning to walk my dog. These are just what I wanted. They are cute, easy to put on, and completely right for sloshing through rain soaked fields, thick dewy morning grass, and even snow. They are just what I was looking for. The only reason I didn't give them a full 5 stars is because they tend to run a little big. I had to return the first pair for a size smaller. Even these are a little too wide, but I've made do with a thick sock. I still like them very much.

Boot quality is great but the sizing was off a bit for me.
I wear and ordered a size 9 but had to return due to the boot being a size too large.
Great boot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chief Rubber Ladies Boots, December 6, 2008
This review is from: Western Chief Women's Fireman Rain Boot (Apparel)
I am very pleased with these rubber boots. I bought them to wear out in the pasture when it rains to take care of our livestock. They are not at all bulky or heavy. They are quite comfortable with a pair of thick socks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fireman Boot Fan, April 15, 2009
This review is from: Western Chief Women's Fireman Rain Boot (Apparel)
The Western Chief Women's Fireman Rain Boot answers my footwear need for splashing through puddles on rainy days. It's easy to get on and off with the handles on each side. The boots wipe off easily, important when you're getting wet and muddy, so they'll also be good for gardening. Love the color and feel of these--just what I hoped they would be.
These boots are very comfortable, springy rubber soles. I ordered a half-size larger than I usually wear to be able to wear cushioned socks with the boots.

Great boots for wet weather. The tops are large enough for your pant legs to fit inside the boots allowing you to arrive at work with dry pant cuffs! Size it true. Would definitely recommend.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but poor durability., February 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Cute boots. Size runs a little large. Now to the real issue, quality & durability. I wore them 3 or 4 times in the Spring, without issue. Brought them out that Winter, used them about 4 times, HUGE PROBLEMS. The bottom of both rubber soles had deep cracks and were also leaking at the seams. I threw them away, assuming the manufacturer wouldn't allow me to return shoes that had been used (even if it was only about 8 times). I don't recommend these shoes unless you plan to keep them from getting wet. (which sort of defeats the purpose of rain boots) Very disappointed in the durability.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, November 24, 2010
I loved my boots, but after I wore them, maybe, a dozen times, they started leaking. Both boots. The rubber cracked at the seams and all around.

All the 5* reviews were given by people who have just received theirs, just based on the looks. They are cute. But they don't last. Don't buy them.
