Well I just got two of these today and wanted to write here to let other users know that its well build and the quality is pretty descent too.

Some of the folks with bad reviews probably bought it for the older drives which were about and inch longer than the new ones.

So in the end if you are buying it for the latest My Passport Drives these are very good and price is also fine by any standards on amazon.

I own both a blue one and a silver one of these and they are great. Buyers should be aware that these cases are specifically designed for the smaller WD Passport SE (3.3" x 4.3"), and will not fit the older passports. If they had specified this in the name/description, I think you wouldn't have most of the negative reviews. They will also fit the new Seagate Goflex line.

Some people might not consider the material to be not durable enough, but I carry these around in my laptop bag and those durable, harder material cases are too bulky. IMO, even if you buy those tougher cases for your abuse, if you drop it on the floor or sit on it or w/e, they will die anyway due to the impact/concussion if they are meant to go, so you might as well buy one that's fits perfectly. These look alot nice than the other ones too.

I do have one small complaint, because the case fits the drive so tightly, you will need to place the usb cord in the pouch next to the drive (like all other cases, but I just don't like this design), which kind of make the surface stick out a little even if the cord did not overlap its lines. This is a minor issue but a pet peeve of mine as I like the cords to be around the drive so the surface is flat for stacking on top of each other (Like I said, VERY minor, even negligible). I have a Case Logic case that holds my older passports, and because of its elevated bulkiness (If you read the reviews, most people complain it's too big for passports), I have utilized it to hold 2 of my older passports and it fits perfectly, with both cords fitting nicely around the drive. If you have the older, bigger passports, I highly recommend the Case Logic WD case for 2+ passports.

If you have a hard drive over than 5 inches, don't buy this product. When I saw this case first time, I just thought 'how can I return it?'... Anyway, it's tight but my hard drive(5 inches) just fits. So I'll use it. As a case it's nice except this size problem! Its real size must be 5 1/4 -4 -1 !!!

It's just a case to put the hard drive in. Nothing special, nothing bad. Would buy again if needed.

It's a good, nicely padded case that holds my 1TB My Passport case snugly, but when I slip the USB cable in, it loses it's "flatness" (the USB cable sits in a small pouch on the inside of the thing and makes it pop out a little bit).

Not a lot to say it is a nice case for the New format WD USB external drive. do not attempt to put the older USB 2.0 drive in it as it will not fit. They are not the same size and this is tailor made for the New drive. I think its great just enough protection to protect it from most bumps and slips. Not a lot of pad but enough.

I was very pleased with this product. Before I got a case for my external hard drive, I just threw it in my backpack and worried that something would spill on it or otherwise damage it. This case will definitely protect it from that, and it's got a little padding to protect it from a fall. As other reviewers said, you do have to remove the cord to put it in the case, but the cord fits in the pocket directly inside. Do note that this is a very small case, designed for the new Passport hard drives... This is a very cute case too, I'm pleased.

product is not the right size for the passport portable hard drive. I bought two of these because
I have 2 passport hard drive. Was so disappointed that it didn't fit, you really need to squeeze it in there
and it feels like it's going to explode. I didn't want to return it coz i don't want to pay for shipping
so I'll just try to look for a better one next time.

A slick little carrying cass for a MyPassport Portable Hard Drive. The device fits in easily. The USB cable can also be put in. Makes it slightly tight but it works.

It is nice and i feel it is a good deal. The zip opens till half of the case.Opens in L-shape. Manufacturer should have designed to open other portion too. It would be much better if it opens in U-shape.
