There is no Amazon native app that I can see on it as of current firmware update. If the content you downloaded through Amazon isn't protected by any kind of DRM and is just a video file it will most likely play, this thing hasn't refused to play anything I've put in it so far. I just upload all the files to it via LAN and things play just fine.

It does not come with Wifi, however you can get a USB dongle to work with it. Whether that will enable you to use 'WIDI", I am not sure.

Yes... This plays virtually EVERY video file known to man.. including 3D features.. and it does so flawlessly

No, this box has no recording capabilities. Only streaming, or playing already downloaded content.

Except for a jailbroken Apple TV there is no other player out there that plays simply every movie format downloaded or not, if I was you I would stick with the WDtv device Or get a jailbroken Apple TV which is definitely a nicer interface and a more polished fit finish & feel
