Not sure why CNet does not rate them higher? This is an excellent buy! Make sure it says 5yr warranty, some external hard drives carry 3 years!!
Works well, connects good, does not require external power. We do not use the provided software, so cannot comment on that.

Outlet was the best internet seller I've ever have had to deal with. They called me on Sat. to tell me they were out of stock of the color I ordered and I received the hard drive on Mon. coast to coast after I changed my color selection.
