This is a very solid case that makes carrying your external hard drive worry free! It is very pressure and weight resistant, dust and other dirt resistant and definitely product to recommend!

My 640gb My passport Elite fit perfect in this along with the USB cable. Solid enough for every day protection!!

Excellent and a must have product.
This not only protects the Hard-disks from surface scratches
but also from damages due to drops.
Very sturdy and excellent cover.

WD missed the boat on this one. I researched this on the WD website and it stated that this case was for my model hard drive. It is too small. If you force it and realey stretch the zipper you can make it fit but I don't understand why it would be manufactured this way. NOT SATISFIED!!

I know, I know - a previous reviewer warned potential buyers to check the measurements. I did, but obviously didn't do so very well. The case is well constructed and attractive. It just seems rather nonsensical that a WD Passport external hard drive case is too small to hold my WD Passport external hard drive.

Size does matter. I wish this drive had just a couple centimetres more space so that the drive wouldn't fit QUITE so snugly. With the super-snug fit, I have to unplug the USB cord to tuck it away, unlike all the other cases I have where I just shove it in still plugged in and zip it up. This is important when you are on the move.

I also wish there was an elastic band on the inside to hold the drive itself, like this bigger Iomega drive I have Iomega Portable Hard Drive Carrying Case 34477.

Perhaps it is my fault for assuming that all cases came that way, but I wish that the product page has additional views rather than just the external -- so at least I could have been aware of it before I purchased it.

That said, I do actually like the case quite a lot as it is sturdy, the colour is sleek, and if I fling the case across the room accidentally (not that I plan to do so!) I can feel safe in knowing that my data is still secure.

So functionality is good -- design can be improved a bit.

I returned it.

I bought this case the same day I purchased my Passport hard drive. This case is just the right size as it gives superior protection. I highly reccomend it.

I bought this and another for Christmas presents. I find
they are very useful for protecting the Passport drive, and
there is room for the connecting cable. They cases allow
easy access to the drive on the inside. Recommend this for
others to buy, AH YES. The price is right. You might also
know that the items I ordered were received ahead of the
date quoted. Good job Amazon!!

THe description is very misleading. I own three Western Digital portable hard drives, and thought, based on the description, that this case would be perfect for me. Wrong! It is too small to fit any of my existing portable drives. A real waste of time and money. Do not be fooled by this product. It is possible that the portion of the description "WDBABL0000NBLWASN" is a description for a different style or type of portable hard drive, but are we to expect this? I think not. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS CASE.
