This product works as expected. I installed into a PS3 to greatly increase the HDD space. I have used it for approximately one year without any problems whatsoever.

This is the second 120GB BEVS HDD I buy from Amazon. Works great on the XBOX 360.

My first one worked for about a month then crashed.

Kept getting hard drive access failures.

Amazon was very good at replacing it asap.

The new one works great.

Would get 5 stars if the first one worked.

New hard drive works great. Only thing you need to know (which I found out after the fact) is that you need to format the hard drive before installing. In order to do this, you need to purchase a USB to SATA adapter cable for about $20. Then you hook to another computer and format. Takes about 10 sec. But the cable is around $20. From there, install new hard drive, and then boot system. I used recovery DVD for my Acer Extensa 5420. It took about 45 min to complete installation of Windows XP. All works great now, no issues whatsoever.

This hard drive is great because of it's compatibility. It is used with a laptop, ps3, or an xbox 360. Western Digital is a reliable manufacturer. My last hd was western digital but it became corrupt so I decided to upgrade. It works fine, and Amazon shipped it fast.

This hard drive was perfect for my situation. My Dell's hard drive decided to fail on me and I couldn't get it working again, so I bought this. Installation was easy, I was able to reinstall Windows in no time.

It was also a great deal; the 80GB hard drive from Dell, which I originally had, was around $100, so this was worth it; twice the space for half the price.

Had to send it back to Western Digital because it failed the SMART tests. I had to pay shipping for it too. But WD sent a replacement and it's working fine. Took about 3 weeks from the time I sent it back until the new one arrived. Perhaps if I returned it to Amazon it might have been quicker.

No issues at all other than the USPS sent it to the wrong house. Thankfully they were able to retrieve it and then get it to me a couple days later. My nephew had received a XBOX 360 Slim for his birthday and never realized that he would need storage room for game data, upgrades and demos. Not to mention the convenience of being able to download a game and play it. He plays Xbox live all the time so we were concerned that adding an "altered" drive might break that and it did not. It took me less than 20 mins to flash the firmware on the drive and install it. Best of all it was at normal people's cost instead of being raped at Microsoft prices. Very happy with the purchase.

This hard drive was really easy to install and is working well as a replacement in my brother's Toshiba L300 laptop.

Note that mine did not come in a retail box but is shipped in an static shielding bag and properly secured with bubble wrap. I could not relate anything on the hard drive to the packaging, so I could not confirm that it was in the original OEM packaging (I did not pursue the answer very much and just trusted it was). It not being in a retail package might be something to note if you were planning on giving it as a gift.

I am a neophyte at computer hardware - especially on my daughter's Mac Notebook.

Installed it fairly easily. I didn't realize it needed to be formatted but the helpful Apple store took care of that. It is working fine.
