Amazon Prime is not part of this box's repertoire of online offerings. Look at their website for the complete list. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=330#tab30 This is a solid product, and I recommend it highly!!

yes it is compaitable with the WD

WD will see all the windows shared drives in your network and you will be able to play any video/audio/image files on the drive. You do not need to plug a drive.

Hi, Did not stream flac, but all of my music formats, mostly mp3 and WMA, work flawlessly from my NAS. Actually, did not have a problem with streaming anything (audio or video), yet. I think that for streaming from a network resource this might be the most flexible device. Good luck with your decision.

Not currently. WD TV Live doens't include Amazon Prime video app as an option. It may in future firmware updates.
