This thing is great!! Due to the 137GB thing on WIN XP I opted for this 120GB drive. Pulled out the old one. Plugged this one in. Started computer--BIOS recognized the drive at full capacity-- Did not need the Western Digital install program because the drive is less than 137GB-- no problem at all--I did a clean install from my Win XP SP2 disc- Done!!

Great price and drive is very fast and quiet.I am going to buy another just to have on hand! 120GB is big enuff for me!!

Great HD, works well, installed onto Dell Dimension 2400 over a month ago and no problems. Recommended!

I desparately needed a Hard Drive for my old iMac DV and I searched high and low to find the "best" most affordable drive I could find. I was frantic, "My Hard Drive just went kapputzzz! What do I do?!".

It took a mere three days to recieve this Hard Drive in the mail!
I am very happy for that, Thank you Amazon!

As for Western Digital, You guys Rock!
This is fast, quiet and I had absolutely no problems installing and setting it up! I'm saaaVVVVVEEEEDDDD!

Needless to say, my experience was expedient and blissful when it came to both Amazon and Western Digital!

Just as shown however it didn't come with any instructions so I had to go to the Western Digital site to down load the drivers for this drive. Also after it was all set up it showed that I only had 111 gb of memory and not the 120 that was bought. I don't know what was up with that. I am not that computer savvy so getting the driver for me was a little difficult. Overall now that its in its a pretty good deal.

The drive arrived in record time. Was happy about that. I installed the drive in my computer and the computer did the rest. Was so easy to install. The drive was a little more noise than my old drive. But it is working perfectly. I rate the drive 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars except for the noise in the drive. This Hard Drive is super! Have had no problems with it whatsoever. I really am very well pleased with it.

Even though I did not request an expedited shipment I received the Drive in four days. It has been a terrific deal. My old drive was only 9.8 GB and was very slow.

This drive has altered my computer usage. I no longer have to open a program and leave it for about 10 minutes so that it could open. I made this purchase a gift to a non-profit where I work with the understanding that I would use it until I retire, then I would give it to the Cyber Cafe @ Malden Square

I am happy about the purchase, the delivery, and, it's usage. If I had it to do all over again, I would make the same choice.

I replaced my original 30G HD in a Dell Dimension 4100 without any trouble. The WD HD is working fine and the computer is slightly faster and more stable. By staying under 135G I did not have to upgrade the BIOS.

My only disappointment is the HD did not come with any mounting hardware, software or instructions. Turns out I did not need the hardware and was able to get the software and instructions from WD's website.

So far no problems. Western Digital has always been one of the best of Hard Disc Manufacturers and continues to be so. It's working the way it's supposed to.

The only reason I rate it a 4 instead of a 5 is that an ATA drive is always going to be better.

Otherwise, no complaints.
