A work of book-making art,
By Gadget Boy (Toronto, ON Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Western Hemisphere (Hardcover)
After searching all over for a "journal-worthy" book that has paper of high enough quality to last for years, and that fountain pen ink won't bleed through, I was delighted to find Paperblanks' journals. The hardcover version has a waxed string, handsewn binding, so you never have to worry about glue drying out and the spine of the book cracking and falling apart. It also helps the book stay open for easy writing, and gives the book an "Old World" look, which goes well with the ancient map of the Americas on the cover. There are ruled lines, but very faint, so it doesn't detract from the appearance (these are no school-style looseleaf sheets!) This book is a pleasure to look at and to write in -- an easy 5 stars! |
