4.0 out of 5 stars Good survey of early western history, January 30, 2008

This textbook was required for my History 10a class at Harvard (Steven Ozment is the professor for the course). In addition to the scholarly explanations and descriptions of early European history, the book comes with a CD with plenty of primary source documents. If that is not enough, there also many excerpts of primary sources scattered throughout each chapter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buying my history book, September 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The book itself is good, but it is supposed to come with a disc, which this book did not. I thought I was going to save a decent amount by buying it on here, but I bought this one and had to turn around and purchase a new one for double the price, just to get the disc! But overall I had good service.

1.0 out of 5 stars Confusing arrangement of information, September 18, 2009
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book has lots of great historical pictures and activities that help to connect the information. But the information is not arranged in the most logical way and can be confusing in a chronological sense. Also, I had trouble with my refund with Amazon. I sent a perfectly new book back just the way it was shipped to me, and I received half the amount back. I don't like that considering I am spending $300 on my books for two classes this semester.
