This book is an excellent resource for college students interested in humanities. This was the text used for my Humanities class. It was very easy to read and I was able digest the material covered without falling asleep. The photos are excellent and the captions are detailed. This is an excellent book well worth the asking price.

I initially used this textbook for a high school humanities class. This book is absolutely wonderful, and I feel completely knowledgeable about the history of western civilization now. There are plenty of illustrations to give examples of the works of various artists, as well as sections that summarize the cumulative effect of an age on the entire history of art. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, high school or college, seeking to gain a better understanding of the western humanities.

The book (a text for a humanities class I'm taking) is well written and covers the realm of Western humanities with just enough detail to maintain its status as a survey text.

Obviously I had to buy this for my Western Humanities class, and Amazon was where I came because I did not want to pay $100+ for a text book. Although I do have to say, the book is worth the full price, it contains so much information and images that it will definitely be a keeper for me after I am finished with the class.

The book was in great condition and was received quite quickly. Would buy again from this vendor.

The book was in very good condition to be a used book. Impressive. It did took many days to deliver considering we boought other books in same time and arrive earlier. But satisfactory. It did arrive in time they said so, so not bad alt all

The book I purchased was lost in the mail but when I contacted the seller they responded quickly and did what they could do on their part. The postal service lost the book by no fault of the seller and I never received the book. However, the seller did the honorable thing and refunded me back the money for the book, which they didn't have to and I would recommend them to anyone. I would definitely buy again. Thanks!!!!

be careful when placing an order ,they sent the wrong book and i was screwed.

I believe this was a new book. It wasn't marked up or anything like that, the cover was just bent a bit, which may have happened during shipping. Other than that, no complaints! :)
