Western Images by a Master Western Poet, August 12, 2007
This review is from: Western Images (Paperback)
Clark Crouch has written another highly enjoyable book of Western poetry. These inspirational poems takes us straight on to the Western Plains. Allowing us to witness the lives of the cowboys and their family and friends. We can see how they work with their faithful horses, the steer they take care of and behind the scenes their loves and their family lives. Not only is the reader a witness to these lives so is one of his favourite characters from the pen of Ellis Peters 'Brother Cadfael. The poet sets up the premise of what it would be like if the monk had lived out west. Each and every poem is a precious gem, and the collection is a salute to the West but also a tribute to poetry itself. My heartfelt thanks to the author for sharing this wonderful book of poems with his readers. A book to be treasured, it is highly recommended.
