I purchased this CD on a whim and I have been very pleased with my decision. This music is very provacative and at times mystical. Each track sends the listner to a place far away and lives out a certain senario. I usually listen to this creation when I am flying across the country. Track 4, "Fragments of You," is my favorite place to visit. The vocals are hauntingly ancient yet very familiar. The music is very moving and stunning.
I recommend this work to enhance your own private collection and to take you on a journey to places you have never been to

I discovered Cyril Morin by accident, since a couple of the tracks in this album were found in a compilation of meditation music. Those tracks aside, I would categorize this album as being very close to the sound you'd expect to hear at a Cirque Du Soleil function: orchestrated (like a score to a movie, indeed), yet possessing that ethnic appeal and choruses that have made that French circus show legendary around the world. Highly enjoyable, though it does loose some of its steam at times. All in all, four stars.

If you like slick Hollywood sound tracks for recent spy films, psychological thrillers, mysteries, etc., you might very well enjoy most of this CD. It's not the usual sort of music you hear outside of those venues with the large orchestra combined with electronic instruments, effects, and background sounds.

This CD by Cyril Morin, Western Pansori, is music that washes over one and creates tranquility. I believe it is a must have for any music library.
