This review is from: Western Saddle Cover with Fenders and Tote (Misc.)
I really hate leaving bad reviews, but for this product I feel like I just don't have a choice.
Keep in mind that the only thing I used this for was to cover my saddle. All I did was put it on and take it off. I did not misuse it in any way. It shouldn't have been affected by the temperature because I kept it in my relatively nice tack room 24/7. Basically what I'm trying to say is that no other factors came into play- this saddle cover is just poorly made.
First of all, the straps that go around the stirrups snapped after just times of putting this cover on my saddle. They're a poor quality and not attached very well. You don't even have to put strain on them to put them around the stirrups, you just loop them! That was irritating but I let it go and kept using the cover, adjusting it as best I could.
However, after only a few months of use, the elastic around the edge that keeps the cover taut on the saddle snapped too. I was just putting it back on my saddle like I always did, and I felt it break and go loose. Essentially, I paid for a thin plastic sheet to drape over my saddle like a towel.
If you want this product to put on a saddle you're going to stuff in the attic and never use again, it MIGHT work for you. I honestly would still get a higher quality cover. But if you, like me, want something to cover your saddle so it doesn't get dusty and are going to be taking it off daily, do NOT buy this saddle cover.
