Good product, easy installation overall. Plan on about 2 hours. Looks great when completed.

Finding the holes for the front most mounting bracket takes time. The holes are covered on the RAV4 so it takes some poking around. As for installing a couple of the bolts, they took time and patience. A bolt on the end of a metal stick that has to be threaded through a hole that is not big enough for me to get two fingers through took some patience. Other than laying on my back and staring at the underside of the RAV4 with not much clearance just takes time. The parts were easy to assemble once you got to where they needed to go.

Tried to order these same running boards through other places and they were in stock one minute and not the next. Found out after ordering and having the order canceled a few days later that the parts were never really in stock. Be warned Auto Parts Warehouse has about 15 affiliate companies that are all about the same. And their support is terrible.

Typical Amazon order process. They say they have it in stock and you have it at your house in less than a week. No hassles, no canceled order.

I recommend the running boards but only if you purchase from Amazon.

Make sure you understand that you need to buy a mounting kit with this item that runs around $ 100.00. 3 out of the 4 brackets on each side are easy to install and require no drilling. The forth one must be drilled.

These running boards are great and I installed them in about 1 1/2 hours. They look great on the car and makes it easier to get into the vehicle as well as to protect against door dings. The only problem I came across was getting the mounting brace/nut into the holes in the frame. They were cut a little too big and I had to modify it just a little by shortening it. Otherwise it was very easy to install.

Not a difficult installation, just time consuming. NO drilling required. You do have to purchase mounting brackets separate. The mounting bolts with rod attached are
challenging. I used locking surgical forceps (the type to remove fish hooks from fish) to lock onto the rod/bolt which helped to control the bolt to get it lined up with the hole in the body. This access hole is too small for my fingers to guide the rod/bolt. Holes in the body for the bolts are covered with undercoating, easy to find though. Also, I installed the filler strip on the running boards before mounting the boards to the brackets. Great looking running boards.

Good looking running boards. Very strong and added alot of protection to the rocker panels and doors from rocks, salt and mud that comes off the tires.
