4.0 out of 5 stars Drift Sock Review, June 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Westing Fishing Gear Drift Anchor (Misc.)
Received the 2 drift socks within 3 days. These drift socks allow me to hold trolling speeds with or against winds and currents.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well satisfied, April 26, 2009
By
Bought 2 drift anchors (54") for drift catfishing with my 19' Carolina Skiff. One on each side, attached just forward of midship, they allow me to back drift. Outboard motor acts as a rudder to determine course. Works like a dream. With a 15+ mph wind, I drift backward at about 0.5 mph. Just what I needed. Only change was: I ran the release line inside the chute. It turns the sock inside out when retrieved. Makes it easier to redeploy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Weston 54" Drift Anchor, October 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Shipping took a few days longer then I was expecting. After opening the box and checking out the sea anchor I was real happy to see that the construction of the anchor was heavy duty. I've used it a few times and it does a great job of holding my 22' boat in the wind better then my last anchor which cost twice as much money and was supposed to have brass grouments which have rusted out. The only problem with the anchor is that it's heavy material makes it a little harder to retrive because the stiff material hangs up on the Pulput. I wish I would have bought two and I highly recommend this anchor I'm thinking of ordering another for back up can't beat the price.
