I was thrilled when I first found these! It was a great price for the number of lights. It was too hot to install them when I got them so I just recently put them in. One of the bulbs does not work and guess what? They do not make a replacement bulb for these any more!!! I have searched all over including the internet. If you buy a different bulb that fits, you have to replace the transformer. The cost to replace all of the sockets and transformer is another $69.95. It is too difficult for me to remove them all and send them back. Make sure you can get replacement parts for these if you decide to buy them!

These lights were very easy to install. However I did have one globe that was broken in shipment, but I called the Custom Service hotline and the lady said they would get it right out to me. I also asked her `where' I could buy more bulbs when these burn out and she said they sold them. They come in RED, BLUE, GREEN, WHITE and AMBER, and cost $13.50 for a pack of 4 bulbs.

My wife & I both love these lights and I am thinking about getting the 4 light set to add to this 8 light set.
I talked to an Electrician and I told him I had just bought some Hi-Intensity low voltage pathway lights, and that I still have my Malibu 300W Transformer from my last set of low voltage lights and wondered if this transformer would be OK to use on these Hi-Intensity low voltage lights.
He said it would be fine, as he was aware of the Malibu 300W Transformers. He also said I would have room to grow if I wanted since I'm going to use the 300 Watt transformer. He said you take the number of lights times the wattage to find the total wattage, and then if the transformer is 75% more than your total wattage, you'll be OK.
I hooked them up to my 300W Malibu Transformer and they work Fine, besides now I can turn them on according to my desired times on the transformer, instead of having them turn on/off according to the provided transformer.

I am Very satisfied with these lights and already have gotten Lots of compliments from our neighbors.

First, they are made of aluminum and not plastic and construction was fairly straightforward: attach the stake to light with screwdriver (did not consist of building a light from 6 different plastic pieces that can easily break).

Second, they are very affordable (for LED), whereas other brands cost twice as much.

I bought these lights for two main reasons: low power consumption and looks. Since these are LED lights, the color is white light, however, that works to its advantage because it makes the lily look white and elegant (not yellow), which is exactly the look I wanted. Best of all, you can't find these at Home Depot/Lowes, which makes them unique... I'm buying a second set for the other side of my house!

The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a longer length of cord from the power box (i.e. 20 ft) so I could run the lights further away from my house/outlet but really not a big deal.

I have owned the standard 2-tier Malibu lights for years and truthfully, I was getting sick and tired of messing with the wire connectors and light bulbs to make them work. Also, I was getting tired of losing the plastic tops every time the landscapers came by. Granted, Malibu established themselves as a reputable company/product, but their LED sets are priced way too high which negate any electricity cost savings for the first few years of ownership and to be honest, the "tiered/pagoda" look is a bit outdated. I really like the "coach" look, but $190 is too expensive for 4 lights and 2 spot lights. For a little bit less, I have enough lights (16) for my entire house/landscaping needs.

Oh yeah, don't even bother with solar (at least for now).
