This is a good deal if you need spare parts. These LED bulbs only last about 2 years and then they start to get dimmer. They say that they last 10 but I've gone through 2 sets. The bulbs are about $8 a piece if you order them directly from Westinghouse so buying this set for the replacement bulbs was a better deal for me. They have a nice bright pure white light which is why I've stuck with them and they don't run up your bills.

You get 50ft of wire, sounds great but you can't put a light within 7-10 ft of the transformer. Now you have approximately 40' of wire and 8 lights. Just go ahead and get an extra 50' of wire beleive me you'll need it. I just picked some up at home depot. The extra wire will be a larger gauge and that's actually better. The wire that comes with the unit is about 16-18 guage and the smallest I saw at home depot was 14 guage. I thought about buying the 12 guage heavy duty wire but the 14 guage was so much bigger than the wire that came with the unit I was glad I went with the 14 guage.

I eagerly installed these lights and we were thrilled. That was less than a year ago! In less than a year corrosion has rendered half the lights not working. I dug up the connector and it was highly corroded. I tried to rewire but the individual lamp holders were not designed to handle any reworking. Four of eight lights don't work. I ordered new bulbs but they didn't work. That's when I discovered the corrosion. By the way white replacement bulbs are $10 each. If you want green or blue, they are only $5 each! Go figure!
Stay away from these lights. They are loosers!

I wanted something less expensive than solar lighting, considering you have to change the batteries every couple years at a pretty good price, or the tops of the little solar panels fade and the batteries just can't charge enough to keep the lights on. Well, I found these! Last summer installed one set and they looked great. I bought a second set. While the second set was in transit, I notice one bulb of the original strand went out. What??? I emailed Amazon and they took care of me as usual. Love Amazon!! I then installed the second set. One globe was cracked, one pole was broken and the beat goes on. I contacted the company, Westinghouse, and told them my disappointments and concerns. They promptly replace the broken globe and the riser pole. They sent me four replacement bubls. Great, thank you. Now, here it is less than a year ago, and what do you know. There are about 8 bulbs out entirely and about 3 are just flickering then go out, then flicker again and then go out again. I am so disappointed after spending all that time installing these things, running the wires, etc. Not much can be done now I guess except to stay away from Westinghouse products. I loved the lights too. The metal is aluminum, I bought them for that reason as well, and are resilient to rust. It happens I suppose. But it sucks!
