Bright Lights, Easy to Install... but Cords are Too Close,
By
This review is from: Westinghouse 411728-41P HI-Intensity LED Landscape Lighting Set, 8 Piece (6 Pathlights and 2 Spotlights) (Tools & Home Improvement)
I really like these outdoor LED lights; they are incredibly bright. I was excited to have outdoor lights that required no wiring work -- just plug each light into the bottom of the one before it and you are set. With that simplicity comes the only downside to these lights -- the lanterns' cords are 8 ft. long and the spotlights' cords are 6 ft. That is not a lot of space between lights. Westinghouse should have made the cords twice that length at least. You can always wind up extra cord if you don't need that length. As the other reviewer noted, these need to have extension cords to make them just a little longer. In fact, the whole reason I am shopping today is to find some male to female 2 prong extension cords for the lights. Side note: The transformer that comes with this kit can light up to 15 of the LED lights. I purchased two sets and I am very glad I did!

Hi-Intensity LED Landscape Lighting Set,

This review is from: Westinghouse 411728-41P HI-Intensity LED Landscape Lighting Set, 8 Piece (6 Pathlights and 2 Spotlights) (Tools & Home Improvement)
I like the Westinghouse 411728-41P lighting set. Did find that the cables provided should have been longer or several additional extenstion cables should have been provided with the set. The problem with the cables were that they were too short and attached to each light with a connector molded on the end of each cable. This limits your placement of the lights. If several extention cables with a male and female connection had been included then that would have been a help. The use of a plugs for the connection of the light set is different from other light sets where you have to run a wire and use a connector to pierce the wire to connect the lights.Westinghouse should consider a method to place the ligts farther apart from each other. If the cables were longer by 3 or 4 feet that would help or to provide several extention connector cables that also would be a big help. Over all the lights have a bright white light and the Stainless Steel supports are good lookng. The LED lights should last for a long time and will save energy.

Not durable.,

We bought a set like this from Sams Club around 3 years ago. In that time, four pathlight bulbs and both spotlights broke. It is really hard to find replacement bulbs (Item#700041) and similar bulbs cost $10 each. The spotlight's bulb is not replaceable because it is soldered onto the wire.We live in Florida where there is lots of rain and sun. When I opened the spotlight to see if the bulb was replaceable, there was rust. It is not stainless steel on the inside. I suggest passing on this product and get one where there are replaceable bulbs readily available. "LED lights are also more durable and can last for up to 10 years" = indoor, perfect conditions...
