The photo shows bare wire that allows the lights to be placed anywhere along the line, like Malibu lights. This is not the case. Each bollard comes with an 8' pigtail. The spotlights have 6' cords.

Each light plugs into a waterproof socket on the back of its neighboring light. This works fine, but doesn't allow for the flexibility in installation that it could have.

Light output is acceptable, and adds a soothing bluish glow to my house/yard, amidst the pukey yellow of the sodium vapor city lights.

I would definitely buy another set of these.

I'm very pleased with this product. Very easy to assemble.No fussing with wiring or lose connections. This is for accent lighting. It was perfect for the trail we wanted to light.

After installing a set of these in the yard, I immediately bought a second set. The light output is bright and constant, not "flickery" like LED Christmas lights. The white light output is eye-catching, if not a little too bright at times, but does well to illuminate the area. As other reviews note, each light has a pig tail which connects to the neighboring light, with the first pigtail plugging into the power supply. I ended up bypassing the plugs and wiring the lights directly by cutting the wires and soldering them individually, but this may prove too daunting of a task for the average homeowner.

The light they produce is twice as bright as my last set which was over double the cost. They are quality made and look a lot nicer than I expected them too. I love them and am thinking of ordering another set for my front walkway as I have these in my back yard garden, which looks amazing all lit up at night.

These lights are just what I wanted. They are bright, only use the power of a 10W light bulb, and stay bright all night. I have some solar lights, but was always dissapointed only cloudy or shot winter days when they were too dim at night. They have a great modern look. It was not a problem for me, but as other reviewers stated, they all come with a set length wire between each light that limits the maximum distance they can be from each other. There may be extensions available, but they worked out perfect for me.

Within 4 months of using them, the transformer has given out. Because I did not buy directly from Westinghouse, they won't help me at all with a return or even just a simple replacement of the part. They won't even sell it to me.

They are very nice looking, but the quality is awful

I purchased this item back in April of 2011 and about a month ago my Westinghouse landscape lighting stopped working all of a sudden.

I sent this reseller an email and have not heard of a response what-so-ever.

Getting desperate, I opted to use Amazon.com's Customer Support. Amazon.com's representative provided to me Westinghouse's telephone number.

Upon contacting Westinghouse customer support, they stated that since this product was actually purchases through this reseller, the warranty is completely null and void. But, as a one-time courtesy, they replaced the faulty transformer.

This product was going to be given 1 star due to its short lifespan and defective power unit (transformer). Due to Westinghouse's flexibility, I gave it an additional star.

I will file a complaint to Amazon regarding this reseller's practices.

I really like the pathlights and I *did* like the spotlights, for the 4 weeks they worked. I placed my spotlights at the base of two columns on my front porch so that the light would shine up the front of them. Well, we had some rain over the span of a couple of weeks, and water began to leak into the interior of both spotlights. They both eventually died. I was told that my only option to get the spotlights replaced was to send everything back in (including both spotlights and all the pathlights), but I wasn't about to pull all of the pathlights out of the ground. After seven months, all of the pathlights are still working just fine.

The lights are nice looking accent lighting. They have a little bit of a bluish tint to them, nothing unpleasant to the eye. They are no where near as bright as a halogens and dont put out enough to really light up a walk way. About the same output as a solar lamp. I gave them an average rating for this reason.

The transformer with a bulit in photoeye (meaning it has to be plugged in outside to work properly because a photoeye senses when it is dark and turns the lights on automaticly) plugs into a 120v outlet.

The first light (or spot light) has a 10 ft cord which plugs into the transformer.

The second light plugs into the first light and so on till you have added all the lights.

If you dont have an outlet within 10 ft of where you plan to place the first light or if you plan to run in multiple directions your going to be splicing in low voltage cable. I ended up having to use the exsisting low voltage wiring and transformer from the lighting that these where replacing.

The picture shows a roll of low voltage cable but it does not come with it.

It's ok for the price I did not like it because it is not compatable with other 12 volt lighting and can not be expanded. Other than that it does what it is suppose to do.
