I ordered this fan about half a year ago into a new apartment. It's a wonderful model, and with a sleek contemporary design, it fits perfectly. I really love how it looks. It's compatible with a dimmer, I installed the fan using light wood color blades which look fantastic. It takes two bulbs, which is plenty. Ultra quiet. Very happy, no problems.

This is a pretty solid fan. it can be drop mounted or flush mounted, but it hums and vibrates a bit in flush mode. It is quiet in drop mode. I bought two of these and they both work fine. It does not look like a very "high-end" fan, but it is not priced like one, either.

We bought this fan/light for our master bedroom. We really like it so far. The bulbs are the candelabra bulbs that have the smaller screw connection. We replaced the bulbs that came with it with the compact fluorescent candelabra bulbs. It says that the metal is brushed pewter, but I believe it is painted to look like brushed pewter. You can't really tell once it is mounted.
Overall, we are happy with our purchase. It did take a little while to receive the fan.

Customer Service:
Our fans arrived earlier than the estimated delivery date. 2/3 were in perfect condition, but the third was defective. Customer service was quick and responsive in offering to send us a replacement and they provided a pre-paid shipping label for returning the defective. After 2 weeks of not receiving the new fan, I contacted them again. They responded in the same day stating they were waiting on receiving the replacement fan from the warehouse. Once they received it, they shipped it out the same day. Impressed with their responsiveness! Installation: We are not the typical handy person. I know how to change my tires and give my car an oil change. So installation took about 1.5-2 hours per fan once we got the hang of it. We had to look up wiring directions (because our colors didn't match the included installation guide) online, but that didn't take long. Price: Decent quality for their price, much more inexpensive than similarly designed ones at the big box stores. Although, if one of the chains is pulled, it will make the entire fan tilt slightly--unsure if that is common with all fans, but I was disappointed. We plan to keep the fans on the same speed, so it won't be a bother considering we have separate wall switches for the blades and the light. Sound: Slightly hum, but can only hear if nothing else is on in the room. We have one we dropped a screw into the base, and so we think the screw is causing that fan to rock and make a slight noise. One was noisy because it rocked too much -- it wasn't unbalanced due to installation error but because the base had been bent. They sent a replacement and no more creepy noise or rocking. Extra Plus: One of our rooms has a peak with the fan outlet about 0.5-1' away from the peak. So we were worried about the blades hitting the ceiling. With the included 4" pole that connects to the base, there is plenty of clearance! Light bulbs: 2 candelabra light bulbs included -- we wanted to be able to put in our CFLs, but the bulbs are too big. Found the right sized CFLs at the big box store for about $1 each. Blade Colors: The maple side is a very light color. We were hoping it would be darker like one of the customer photos posted on Amazon, but it is as light, possibly lighter, as the manufacturer photos. Luckily, they match the light cream leather couches. Hope this helps!

This product was nothing like described. It is not marble or black, this fan is maple colored with white blades on the reverse. It looks cheap and of poor quality. Before you buy be sure you know the color is not as stated in the description!!!
