The Westinghouse Bethany fan provides powerful cooling and air with its 52-inch, five-blade design, and does it with the convenience of remote-controlled, dual-direction operation. The blades are reversible, with one side being mahogany and the other rich walnut, providing versatility in home decorating. Both sides coordinate handsomely with the fan's rustic bronze finish.
The fan includes a one-light lighting kit with a large central globe resting below and at the center of the fan, providing welcome light when necessary. The globe is made of crème agate glass.
52-inch fans are best suited for large rooms such as living rooms, dining rooms, great rooms, and large bedrooms. The fan is covered with a 25 year limited warranty.--Jeffrey Dalto

I have owned this fan since Sep 06 and I am still very pleased. We recently found a feature in the remote that we did not know of before. The remote offers a light dimming feature, just hold down on the light button and it will cycle through the lighting. Good buy, we bought three.

This ceiling fan/light fixture was easy to install and looks great. You have a choice of woods for the fan and the remote works well. The fixture is solid and very quiet. An excellent value.

I received the fan, and started to assemble it. I needed a longer down-rod, so I ran to the home improvement store. This fan uses a non-standard diameter down-rod, so I was not able to find one. I ended up having to fabricate one using steel pipe, a drill, and some spray paint.
From the picture, this fan looked nice. After I got the fan up, it really looked cheap. The fan itself worked fine. I ended up pulling it down and putting up a nicer looking fan. I'll use this fan in a rental house.
