Well, at least it was cheap, November 26, 2006
This review is from: Westinghouse DPF-0701 7.0" Widescreen Digital Photo Frame with Mosaic View (Electronics)
I managed to pick up this frame in a Black Friday sale. I've been wanting one for a while - I used to have a Kodak storybox frame, but it was stolen off of my desk at work a few years ago. The quality of the picture on this frame isn't even close to what I had on my Kodak. The pixels are obvious, and the only control that I can find to adjust the picture is the brightness wheel. If you leave it in mosaic view, the quality is even worse. If you take it out of mosaic view, then the widescreen feature becomes a pain - it frequently chops off part of peoples' heads in the pictures, so I'm debating playing around with the pictures that I load on to it to avoid that. Overall, I wouldn't buy this again, but it wasn't very expensive and if someone steals this one, I won't be heartbroken.

picture quality is a deal-breaker, December 22, 2006
This review is from: Westinghouse DPF-0701 7.0" Widescreen Digital Photo Frame with Mosaic View (Electronics)
We got two of these meant as gifts for my parents and in-laws, and returned them both. The picture quality was so poor I would have been embarrassed to give these to my family members. You can clearly see the pixelation, even on the sample pictures it comes with. The mosaic feature is unique, but cannot make up for the terrible resolution.
The 8" frames have far superior picture quality, these 7" frames never should have been released in comparison.

Not too bad, November 30, 2006
This review is from: Westinghouse DPF-0701 7.0" Widescreen Digital Photo Frame with Mosaic View (Electronics)
I was a bit hesitant on this model since it got so so reviews from CNET and other places. Most of the negative reviews were based on the image quality. I got it for $79.99 on Black Friday. After plugging it in, it's not too bad. Sure the quality isn't stellar sharp, but for 1/2 the price of the Philips or Kodak, it's pretty good. I will agree with a previous review, the Mosaic view isn't all that great. The full view looks better. The viewing angles are pretty wide. For $149, I would spend a few more bucks for a higher resolution model, but if you can find it under $100, it's definitely worth it.
