I bought these lights and were excited to put them in to decorate my back yard. The light output isn't that great, but not too bad either. When I first took them out, they charged all day. Night came and they added a nice little accent. Now don't expect them to provide illumination to the surrounding area. These lights are more for decor.

However, my disappointment came the following weeks. Gradually I noticed that the lights would stay on shorter and shorter. Some barely stay lit more than an hour after the sun sets. I figured the batteries did not come fully charged. So, since they were standard NiCad batteries, I took them out and charged them with an outlet charger.

This fixed the problem...though temporary. Again, a few weeks later, lights wouldn't stay lit for along period of time. I believe this is due to poor charging mechanism of these lights. Sure, some of my lights do not get full sunlight all day because of surrounding trees and all. But the ones that are completely unobstructed and get full sunlight from dawn to dusk will not charge.

I bought these real cheap and I guess you get what you pay for. I think they are great accent lights only if they would maintain their charge.

I read the reviews before making this purchase, but there were not as many negative reviews... These lights are extremely wimpy. I have been using solar lights for years and these are seriously sub-par. I had to remove them and replace with another set. Returning them would not be cost-effective, either.

In short, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would THINK with a brand like Westinghouse, you could trust them to be as advertised. - HA!

I bought these lights to outline the sidewalk by the front door of my elderly mother's home so that when she came in at night it would be easier for her to see. These lights are not bright enough to illuminate the sidewalk. They just outline the edge of the sidewalk which I suppose is a good thing, but I was hoping for more. If you are looking something to light up the sidewalk, these are not the ones to buy.

I have these lights for a week now. The battery goes down in couple of hours plus the intensity of the light is not that bright also.I'm trying to return them.

I placed these strategically in my front yard which recieves at least 6 hours of full sun a day and only one of the lights comes on, and it only runs for an hour. You get what you pay for!

You get what you pay for. These were really cheap but still function ok. They do what they are supposed to.

This item is exactly what I was looking for. It takes good light to fully charge these units. Putting them in shade does not work. I was looking for an easy solution to lighting the walks and this does the trick. If you are looking for year-around lighting, it would be best to wire in a set. Item works exactly as advertised.

I liked the product very much. They were easy to put together and all I had to do was sit back and wait for the sun to go down. I've had them several weeks now and nary a problem. I would recommend this product, especially for the price.

The battery provided can't supply enough power for more then 5 hrs. I have replaced them with 2300 mAh and whole set is OK for 8 hrs. continuously.

Got the lights for use during hurricane season. They lasted a while but died d/t needing batteries.
