A little more balanced and reasonable perspective,

This review is from: Westinghouse PT-16H120S 16" Westinghouse PT-16H120S 720p Widescreen LCD HDTV - 16:9 500:1 8ms 1 HDMI ATSC/QAM/NTSC Tuners Black (Electronics)
Just wanted to balance the other "fly-off-the-handle" review a little with something more positive because the other single review paints a less than reliable picture (no pun intended!).
My father owns this same model and me being my families semi-official audio/video "expert", I've seen and set up many lcd & plasmas for myself and many others and I've spent a great deal of time reading up on all the technology and associated pros & cons of each. Bottom line: this LCD is a solid performer. Picture is quite satisfactory, no better or certainly no worse than the vast majority of LCD screens on the market and near this price point. And if you are able to tune in digital/HD quality stations and you have previously owned only CRT TVs, you are going to be VERY impressed! If you DO experience a poor or unclear picture, then there is likely to be something wrong with the way you have this lcd set up; poor cable or satellite reception, improper settings in the menu, not using the optimal cabling to bring out the best picture, etc. Sound volume is fine. Loud enough on all channels that my father can tune in, apart from one PBS channel which was a problem with the station itself, not so much the volume capabilities of this LCD. Plus, there is always the option of adding inexpensive and easy to attach external speakers to increase the volume if needed. The truth of the matter is that a television this small is never going to be able to provide great and very loud sound. The speakers needed to fit a small LCD like this have to be quite small which limits it's ultimate volume and performance capability.. it's physics, folks, plain and simple. And let's be honest, on a relatively small tv like this one, chances are you are going to be viewing it from within several feet and you wouldn't need it to have ear-bleeding volume! My father has owned this LCD for well over a year now and it always works as it should. Nothing more, nothing less. You could do a LOT worse than this Westinghouse 16" LCD, but you won't do much better.

This is without any question the worst TV I have ever seen. Can't turn up volume high enough to hear in a normal room unless your within 12" of the unit and no one else in the room. Picture is hazy and simply horrible. I gave it as a gift and it was opened after the 30 days and Amazon / Tiger Direct refused to take it back. Why would they, who would want it. Can;t believe I trusted the Westinghouse name. As fast as you can, buy anything else.

I can't believe I took a chance and bought this piece of junk. I should have listened to the reviewer who gave it one star. This thing shouldn't be on the market. It is garbage.
