My brother purchased this item at a magic convention, showed it to me and I had to have one for a friend of mind who has that kind of sense of humor. Since buying it and giving it to her, she has called saying they are having a ball with it. It is the greatest entertainment there is. Grown people are crazy about it. It creates a lot of laughter. Other people are wanting to borrow it to take to gatherings/meetings they are going to for the entertainment value. You can't keep your hands off of it and the laughter abounds. Great, great toy!!! Now I think I am going to order one for myself like my sister did. She couldn't resist either.

I purchased one of these for work, I'm a Recreation Therapist, the guys laughed so hard they almost fell out. I used it in a hangman game and when the chicken chokes and walks off doing the chicken dance you have to laugh.

Saw this on Jay Leno and it was a Hilarious Gift! Tried it out and it dances to the chicken dance song and when you grab its neck it yelpsand pretends to choke then when you let go it continues its dance. I Can't wait to give it as a Christmas Present.

To be honest, we got this toy at a yard sale for 50 cents and had no idea what it did or if it even worked. After a fresh set of batteries, my two children (3 & 2 years old)fell in love with it. The chicken waddles to the sound of the chicken dance, while the chicken will "choke" if you grab him by the throat and screams if you grab him be the top of his head. We've had this toy for several months now and my kids have been pretty rough on it and it still continues to work like a champ (on the same batteries too!). My only complaint is that is has no volume control, so it can get a little bit annoying at times.

To those who may get offended by the nature of this toy (choking and screaming noises if you grab the chicken by the neck or top of the head), get over yourself. It's a toy. I don't see kids chasing donkey's with pins and nails after playing pin the tail on a donkey, so I doubt you'll have kids attempting to actually harm real chickens.

P.S. - The choking and screaming sounds are cartoonish in nature.

My 6 year old thinks it is great unless you turn it on while he is watching TV. THIS THING IS LOUD! It has one mode of playing the chicken song over and over again. You can also switch to off or to the auto mode where the song plays just once.

My 14 month old also enjoys this item and will carry him around and beg for it to be turned on.

Mine is about 5 years old now and it is showing its age. Periodically, he will go from the "chirpy" chicken song to the "chicken of death" mode where the song is slowed down and is deeply demonic. That's just because we have genuinely enjoyed his chickeness for the past several years.

There's just something about those unblinking eyes that can penetrate deep into your soul and reach for your childhood memories of roller skating rinks and birthday parties. This nostalgic song is reminiscent of german-style beer halls at Busch gardens and reminds me of the hokey pokey. I'm 30 and love it.

This is one of the funniest gadgets that was ever dreamed up. I can't imagine wasting it on a child. I have purchased three, the second two because I couldn't bear to part with the first one I ordered. If someone can keep a straight face after hearing what happens when they "choke" this chicken, they're ready for the pine box.

My wife who used to work in a toy store had to really work hard with the battery compartment and batteries to get this toy to power up; however, once we got it working it was great. It was a surprise gift for my boss and he got the greatest kick out of it. all of other fellow coworkers were in stitches when the crazy, clucking, wacky chicken went into it's act, and boy did it squawk when you pull its neck. Again, a little maintenance on the front end but a most enjoyable and funny gift.

The first day, we noticed the chicken would make noise and it's mouth would move ... but sometimes the legs and wings didn't. By the second day, the legs and wings stopped moving altogether ... We still get the music and mouth movement, but I would rate the wacky chicken a dud.

Great toy. I bought it to use a an example of the animal kingdom. It is hilarious. You have many options. Mode switch underneath, A hidden switch on the wing to activate it or grab it by the neck and it starts making these sound as if it were being choked. Set it down and it will do the chicken dance. Have not shown it to anyone that can't stop laughing.

We purchased this "Crazy Cluck Wacky Chicken" about 2 months ago as a "mascot" for our monthly (Adult) Euchre Card Parties. Whenever a player successfully completes a LOANER HAND the Crazy Chicken gets to come out and dance on the table to celebrate. He is a big hit. The Chicken Dance music is loud and clear and the flapping wings and dancing feet are great fun! The clucking and squawking when you pick him up by the neck are absolutely hilarious. The toy seems to be well made and we like the on/off controls on the bottom of the toy. We do recommend but our experience has only been with adults. It's just one more reason to laugh and who doesn't need that these days? We are very happy with this product!
