This review is from: Westmoreland Glass, 1950-1984 (The Westmoreland Story) (Paperback)
I bought this book to help identify Westmoreland Glass from the years it covers 1950 - 1984.
For a twenty year..plus... old book..this really does the line justice for these years. I was able to Identify several pieces I had on hand...and discover aprox. year of manufacture...and in several case the different sizes of some of pieces that were made. It was a great buy on this book and to tell you the truth...I couldn't be happier. Most of the pictures are in color...and also the listings of each item states what colors it was manufactured in ..It also gives background on the mould situation..as with many glass companys..molds were bought and sold amongst themselves...so often more than one company used the same mold...each item looking more similar than not..and cases like these are explained here for less confusion. I recommend to all this book if you are either building a library of books on glass...or if you have a piece made in this time period that you want to learn a bit more about.

This review is from: Westmoreland Glass, 1950-1984: With Price Guide, Vol. 2 (Paperback)
I think all around you can say this book is a helpful reference. It is a 1991 copyright, but I would say it is still useful book from a collectors point of view. Three quaters of the book is text, with half the book in code section. Not great, but helpful.
