i purchased this double patty maker because i was tired of pressing chop meat into patties with the lid of a can. this item is sturdy and well made, and easy to use, but the cleanup is a hassle. to clean the interior you must unscrew the plungers and be mindful of not losing the springs. and the meat does stick to the top of the presser, i believe the remedy for the meat sticking to the top of the presser is a spot of spray oil. i use a large piece of wax paper on the bottom instead of small cut wax paper. it can make thick quarter pounder sized burgers, which i like. overall im quite satisfied, despite the messy cleanup.

I am very pleased with the Weston Hamburger Press. It is a high quality machine that makes uniform hamburgers very quickly. I am especially impressed with the spring release feature for the hamburgers.

This is a quality product however Amazon's price when I ordered it was $34.95 but they charged me 39.08 and now I see its increased even more to 43.75. I thought $34.95 was pricey for what this product is and now that its 43.75, I would have not paid that for this product. Home Depot has a very similar double burger press for $24.98. 4 stars for the product, could have been 5 stars if the price wasn't so much. It isn't worth more than $30 in my opinion.

You must use wax paper or foil or something under the patty or you will have a tough time getting the patty out of the bottom tray - love this thing though!

My Dad had seen a 4 hamburger press, but this does the trick. It's high quality, & simple to use! Just make sure you buy the wax paper for it.

I'm embarrassed to say how much time and thought I put into looking for the perfect burger press.

This press works exactly as I'd hoped. No fuss, muss or bother. It's weighty and substantial. It's simple to adjust for thickness of burger. Being double allows you to make one thick, one thin simultaneously, depending on preference of eater. I buy my chopped meat in bulk, preseason them and just press them out. I bag them up and use my Foodsaver to vacuum and seal.

Invest in the precut papers while you're at it -- one on top one on bottom. Sure you can cut your own paper squares, but this is supposed to be easy, fast and fun! Buy the press, buy the papers. Oh, did I say, there's no cleanup!

Product works as expected with one piece of wax paper on top and one on the bottom. I would have given it a higher rating if it had markings on the inside to indicate how thick the burger will be pressed. I would recommend this product for those that want to make their own burgers.
