The thickness control allows you to slice deli meats as well as steaks - and everything in between. And you don’t have to worry about it moving back and forth when in use. • Quiet 150 watt motor (120 volt, 60 Hz)
  • 8 ⅝” rotary, stainless steel blade for precision slicing
  • Adjustable thickness control from deli thin to ½” thick
  • Removable blade & tilt-out food tray for easy cleaning

Thick or Thin

If you’re hungry for delicious steak sandwich, with gooey cheese, mushrooms, onions and peppers, there’s no need to venture out of the house. The Weston 9 inch Meat Slicer comes with an adjustable thickness control that allows you to cut deli thin slices for layering or a half-inch thick, hearty slice if desired.

Let It Do Its Thing

Don't force it! People often make the mistake of pushing the food carriage across the blade too forcefully. It should glide right through. When you force the slicer, you wear down the motor, and slow the blade. If you go with the flow, your slicer could last you a lifetime.

Keep the Food Cold

Cold is better. Fully frozen isn't good for any meat slicer. The ice crystals are too hard, and they will dull your blade and overwork the motor. But really cold and/or somewhat frozen is perfect. We recommend placing meats into the freezer for 30 minutes before slicing. Fish can be more frozen.

Create a Flat Surface

Cut item in half before slicing to create a flat surface. Face the surface against the blade. This will make a world of difference. If you start with an oddly shaped end, you'll get off to a bad start and have a tough time slicing uniform pieces.

Why Slice at Home?

Conveniently slice roasts into steaks, turkey into cutlets, pork into chops or venison into slices for jerky. This is especially handy when preparing foods for dehydrating or when prepping foods to freeze.

I bought this food slicer due to it's large blade size and it's claimed more powerful 150 watt motor. When I received it I let the unit warm to room temperature and tested it. The motor growled loudly and the blade spun slowly at about 40 RPM. I called the included manufacturers 800 number to report this. The CSR said they would send a replacement and a pickup slip for the defective unit, which they did. The only problem there was it was a residential pick up which still cost me $9.00 freight to exchange. When I received the replacement I tested it right away. It seemed to work properly until I put it to the test. I had prepared, the night before, a 5 pound sirloin roast beef to make Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches for my super bowl party the next day. Even though the meat was well chilled and tender the slicer could barely cut a clean slice. About a third of the way through slicing the roast the blade slowed considerably and then the drive mechanism broke. The price paid for the ordered pizzas for my guests exceeded the price paid for this slicer. Needless to say it was two strikes and Westin was out. I returned the unit to Amazon and received a full refund. I would advise not buying this slicer as it's quality is dubious.

I've had two slicers before this one and both worked well, for what I paid for them. This one has a great motor and a belt drive, stainless steel food tray tilts for easy cleaning. I love the adjustable thickness control for slicing from deli-thin to over 1/2-inch..., Best Part, it does not move well slicing the meat as my other two did. On/Off safety switch is covered BIG PLUS and cleans up very well...

The one VERY BAD THING is the press that goes between your hand and the food you are slicing. It does not have a track to hold (LOCK) it on the sliding carriage, so when you are pushing the carriage forward, you have to hold down the food press while you are pushing the food into the blade. If you forget to do this, you will find your hand in the VERY SHARP BLADE!!!

If you have used a food slicer before, this is a very good one, for the money. I have no problem using it, and like it very much, but I warn you, IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST SLICER..., BUY A BETTER ONE!
Look at the photos very closely and read the reviews! This is a great food slicer for the money it costs. I also highly recommend you get kevlar gloves for your hands if this is the first slicer you are buying, they come in very handy when you are cleaning the blade also!

I would have given it 5 stars but the food press does not lock on the carriage!

It's a geat meat slicer. The 9" blade makes slicing large pieces of meat a breeze. The suctions on the base keep it from moving while it's running. Also, the clean up takes minutes. Thank you Weston for a great product.

Only have had for a week sliced some deer up for jerky worked great on slightly frozen meat(makes i easier to slice that way). easy to clean up. Watch the blade when cleaning is very sharp a fillet glove would be a good idea for the hand that handles it and holds the meat. Only thing is the motor could use a little more power it got slightly warm cutting up 8 lbs of meat 1/4" wide for my jerky. I would recommend it for anyone. Have about 40 lbs of deer left to do any problems with it i will post them.

Looked all over for a slicer wasn't impressed with what I saw.
When this slicer arrived it looked very good and when I put it to work it did the job just as I wanted. Cleanup is a snap and it doesn't take up the whole counter.
Looks like the person that designed this machine had actually used one and tried to make it the best he could. For the money it is a five star machine and I am impressed.

My family enjoys the opportunity to process a lot of our own foods. We have discussed the idea of adding a food slicer to our appliances for quite awhile. My experience in the food industry may have left me with unrealistic expectations for this particular item so please read with that understanding.

The word 'Heavy Duty' is what drew my family to purchase the Weston 61-0901 as a Christmas gift for the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. It was with great anticipation I unpacked this slicer for use in preparing a meat and cheese tray for our New Years Eve celebration. I had smoked a turkey, ham, and purchased several smaller blocks of assorted cheeses for slicing. Apparent immediately was the lack of a sharpening hone as the food slicers I'm familiar with are usually equipped. Eagerly starting with a turkey breast, I positioned the sliding tray accordingly and pushed the power button. The sound coming from the slicer mimicked that of a wind-up toy trying to come up to speed; definitely not the more familiar sound of an electric motor commonly associated with the word 'Heavy Duty'. (It should be noted the instuction manual contains a warning against continued use exceeding fifteen minutes to avoid overheating the drive motor. I wouldn't recommend continuous operation over five.) Slicing through the meats produced reasonable results, although at this point I questioned full functionalily as a food slicer by the groans coming from the laboring drive motor. My doubts were confirmed when I began preparing the cheeses. As the motor bogged, I slowed the progress of the tray movement to a point where I could almost use a hand knife to slice as fast as this model. It wasn't too much longer and the cheese began to crumble as the slices began to tear along the bottom edge.
