Weston 36-3701-W Wheat Grass Juicer Heavy Duty Manual Cast Iron

This manual wheat grass juicer is heavy duty, but has many down falls. You must assemble and re-assemble each time you juice. It must be cleaned and dried or it will rust,(this takes a lot of time). The paint is coming off after only a week. The bolts don't tighten well, and the juice leaks everywhere. It creates a huge mess and too much work for less than an oz of juice. It also seems to take tons of grass to get anything out of it. I regret buying this product.

I've been an amazon customer for years but this is the first time I've been compelled to write a review.

The juicer is just plain awful. It leaked profusely from the auger retainer in the back. The feature for controlling the rate of juicing actually just blocks the pulp passage and encourages leaking. The finish of the juicer is prone to rusting, mine started to rust in just the first few weeks. I tried juicing leafy greens (kale, chard, beet leaves) as well and found that I often hand to put my hand inside (not turning the crank of course) to push the greens down in order for them catch the auger and be juiced.

I returned mine but hopefully I can save you the trouble.

Do not buy this. I opened the box and it smelled like strong diesel and naphthalene. I washed it really well multiple times and it still smells horrible. Save your money and your sanity. I regret wasting my money on this horrible item. I'm returning even though the return policy where I got this from is almost as bad as the toxicity of this item. I dont understand how any company can create a product which is supposed to be designed with the intention to improve your health.. Yet it is spray painted and smells of strong chemicals.......

This juicer worked great for the first 3 times. After that, the mesh screen was bent and would no longer stay in place. The washers are not big enough and a pain to re-assemble after cleaning.

Though easier to clean and more fun to use than an electric centrifugal juicer, if you are looking for a wheatgrass juicer, this is NOT the one to buy. I thought manual would be better, though more work. I also thought that the "old fashioned" method was more accessible to me price-wise. Since I am unable to use it after less than a dozen times of wheatgrass juicing, I wish I would have done my research.

We were so excited to get our Weston Manual Wheatgrass Juicer...took it out of the box...washed the wierd smells off...put the thing together and began to juice our ready and waiting wheatgrass trays....................but it didn't take very many turns of the handle to figure out that this was a piece of cheaply molded metal that resembled a wheatgrass juicer, but did NOT perform AT ALL....we tried taking it apart...re-assembling....several times over and over....We HATE this thing!!!! ANd it has only been four days since we got it.....tray upon trays of grass begging to be juiced...people waiting for juice they will never get....money we will never get....and a reputation for the best wheatgrass is seriously challenged. Our grass is dying and our costs will never be recovered.

BE WARNED of this product....it sucks!!!

IF ONLY I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS....

WHEN I RCIEVED THE JUICER THE SCREEN SEEEMED NOT TO FIT RIGHT AND THE THIRD OR FORTH TIME I JUICED WHEN I CRANKED IT THE SCREEN TURNED WITH THE CRANK. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ANOUTHER SCREEN SENT TO SEE IF THAT FIXES THE PROBLEM
