I just received this comforter set. It is the ugliest thing I've seen. It is a very dark gold color--does not look like the picture. It is cheaply made and the feel of the fabric is terrible. I thought I was getting a good deal, but now I have to pay to send it back!

Just got this today. It's so ugly, I wouldn't even take it for free! Like the other reviewer pointed out, it looks very cheap and not worth the price I paid for it. Disappointed with the quality of fabric and appearance. The picture (when I bought it) was so misleading, the thing looked so gorgeous in the picture, I ended up buying a couple of these at deep "discount" prices advertised at the site!! Since then the product picture has changed (for worse) and I wouldn't have bought the item if the current picture was posted when i ordered it. Everything about this product--picture, description, and price--is misleading. Can't wait to return it even if it's going to cost me a fortune to ship it back. I certainly wouldn't want guests/visitors to my home seeing it!!

I was a little skeptical about buying this comforter set, based on the other reviews. However, the key word that struck me was "peachy" tones, and I also noticed from the picture that it has gold in it. My bedroom has sort of an old-fashioned decor. My walls and carpet are a light peach tone, my furniture is oak, and the curtains are gold, along with gold touches throughout the bedroom. I put it on my bed, and it completed my bedroom. It looks absolutely great and I even get compliments on it. I guess you need to have the right colors and decor for this to work. Also, my bedroom is very bright, so adding a dark comforter to it really made it look nice. The recent pictures that Amazon added look more true-to-life. I would describe it as a gold, somewhat shiney comforter that looks different at different times during the day, depending on the brightness in your room from the sunlight. It does have a floral pattern with some warm tones which they call peachy, but I think it only looks peachy if you have that color in your room. If you have red in your room, the tones would look more red. I have hunter green sheets on my bed, and noticed how nice it the comforter looks against green, as it picks up the darker colors in the comforter. As for the feel of the comforter, it feels like any other quality comforter I have owned. After a couple night's use, it softened up, just as I'm sure a washing will do. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because it does snag if you have dogs or cats that lay on your bed. However, the description does say "woven", and not everyone lets their animals sleep with them like I do!

I'm a little baffled by previous reviews of this set. I think alot accounts for taste. It IS a very sober color scheme, sort of drab, but that was my impression from the photos.

I purchased this set for a spare bedroom, although my taste is bright and whimsical - something this set definitely is not. This seemed like an inoffensive, inexpensive solution to the spare bedroom issue. However, when we got the package we decided we liked it so much we put it on OUR bed.

Initially the fabric was very stiff, but after a couple of nights it softened beautifully. We ordered another one because the price was so low and we still need a bed set for the spare bedroom. I do question the original price a little. The photo on the package we received was a version of the one sold here, but with gold piping and less top stitching. That set looks like a 300.00 set. The one we got does not.

Because the colors are so drab - bronze, gold, olive and a dull red, I think this set could really kill a room that didn't have brighter accessories, BUT overall quality is good, fabric is pleasant to the touch after a while, and the price is unbeatable, so I give it for stars. What I got was exactly what was expected.

After some of the reviews I was sceptical about purchasing this, but I thought for the price, I would take a chance. and Im glad I did. This is a wonderful set. The top is rough, but that is just the nature of the fabric. If anyone has had an expensive comforter set knows it will soften with use, and really you dont lay on the comforter anyways :-) The colors are very rich looking and match my taupe walls and frieze cream colored carpet wonderfully. An awesome deal and I LOVE it !!!

This set is not as bad as some of the other reviews would have you think. Sure, it's not as luxurious as other comforter sets out there, but what do you expect at this $27 (sale) price? The color is a dark gold and is a couple of shades darker than the online picture, but not too shabby. All in all, worth the price I paid for it, with free shipping too.

1. Great for use in your spare bedroom.

2. Then make your inlaws stay in your spare bedroom.

3. That design/color scheme is about as appealing as puke!

Sure to keep ANY unwanted inlaws from overstaying their welcome. :^|

As for the material being stiff; so is a plastic automotive tarp.

But they too soften with age.

The design? Well, to each their own.

In general, I liked this comforter. I bought it at a great price when it was on sale so I really can't complain. But, I would say the top of it, the material, is a bit coarse. The inside layer, the part that would touch your skin, is pretty soft and silky. I've used it for our guest bed and it looks nice - pretty much like the picture.

well, so comfortable to use this, well not for first night but well really worth.

Since I bought this through the Amazon Outlet, I expected the quality to be less than normal -seeing I paid a fraction of what it is worth-. Well, the joke was on me, because it is quality thru and thru. The bedroom looks so stylish now, if I could only get drapes to match. Maybe I should check the outlet section again!! Rating: A+
