This book was awesome. I love the way Tracie and Judith create love stories that are based on Christ being the most important relationship. The love that the characters show towards one another is exactly how we as christians should consider and love others. They truly inspire me. I have read almost all of both Tracie Petersons' and Judith Pellas' books and they are all very good.

I Coudn't put this book down, it was so great! You'll love the personalities of Jordana Baldwin and her brother Brenton. If You liked the Ribbons of Steel series you'll love this book. Great Job, Judith Pella and Tracie Peterson!!!

This was a great book! I love the way Judith and Tracie write. Their books keep you going wondering what is going to happen next. I like the way God is written into their books. He is always there but doesn't answer in your time,but his.This is the 4th book in the series,I can't wait to read #5.

You will want to read Judith Pella & Tracie Peterson's Ribbons of Steel Series first as it is of the parents and then Jordana and Victoria as children in Book 3, although Book 1 of Ribbons of Steel Series was a bit too filled with historical references for me at the time I read it ... I can appreciate it more looking back at it... and I positively loved the series!


Where this may not be a newer series it is fantastic! It covers the settling of the railroad and it is full of history. I have to admit I am a Tracie Peterson fan and this series did not disappoint me ... I just wishs there had been more ... it was excellent! I, who I have to admit have had no interest in the history of the railroad found it fascinating ... yes, I knew some of it but really, really enjoyed it. It is based around the time of the Civil War so there is so much going on during that time. The difficulties that they go through you feel for all of them ... and as s woman that is trying to show her independence you understand where Jordana is coming from. The struggles of Victoria and Kiernan are heartbreaking and you feel each and every one of them. It is also so hard throughout the series reading the struggles of Caitlan ... what a great series! I think that it is a great series of history and romance at its best! Another Tracie Peterson Best!
