5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Album March 12, 2011
Format:Vinyl
During the 1990s I made donuts in my small bakery and listened to this album (copied onto a cassette tape) every day while producing the dunkers. Then, a funny (NOT!) thing happened...

I lost my lease and proceeded to lose my way of life and my marriage, and, of course, the cassette tape. Recently, however, I found the album again available and bought two copies.

Combined with some albums by Joe Hickerson, Arlo Guthrie and legendary Pete Seeger I am thrilled to listen to my favorite performers on my Kindle and on my iPad wherever I go.

Having this music playing allows me to concentrate on my writing for suite101.com and on my new book (Knockin' On Satan's Door) about life in North Africa's Egypt, Libya and Palestine.

One phrase in one somg comes to me frequently, "If I hadn't been born in Ramblin' Shoes, I'd still be in Carolina and not a million miles from home where the wind is blowin' mighty... Eighty six days we've been on the trail, independence seems so far behind us. But by tomorrow night we'll be inside of Laramie..." - Ramblin' Shoes

Other favorites of mine on this vinyl,
Think Twice Before You Go
Painted Faces
Let the Wagons Roll
Shenandoah

Again, I have to select this is my all-time number one favorite album - C William Anderson
