5.0 out of 5 stars Best Alarm Ever!
As of 10/20/09 - My 4 year and two month old has officially stopped bed wetting! Yes!!! It's been two long months of getting up several times throughout the night but it was well worth it. I almost gave up but now I'm so glad I didn't. All the books and physicians say wait until the child is 6yrs+. I'm so glad I didn't! I believe it's a mental thing that can be...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not great
The mat is very sensitive. My son sweat a little and it went off. This alarm DID NOT wake up my 5 year old! It may help a child who is a lighter sleeper but did nothing at all for my son

I believe it's a mental thing that can be broken. By the way, I stopped the pills. It was definitely the alarm all along!

9/15/09 - Not sure if it's the bed wetting alarm, the homeopathic pills I ordered, or a combination of both. At any rate, I love this alarm! I'm using it on my 4 yr. old (yes, I did say 4 yr. old) is staying dry for days in a row now. We tried the wearable alarm and she wanted nothing to do with it. This alarm sits under a sheet so she doesn't mind that it is there.

She did say to me one night, "Mommy, the alarm is scaring my brain". I was a little concerned until I realized that's exactly what I want to happen. She needs something that will wake her up. The alarm scares her so she stops the flow of urine. She unplugs the cord herself and comes to get me. I take her to the bathroom and she goes even more so I know it is working. For the last week she comes to tell me she needs to go to the bathroom without the alarm going off. Very nice! We have been at it for one month. The books I read say it can take up to 3 months so I'm not about to quit yet. All the books and Drs say wait until the child is over 6 yrs. but I just couldn't wait that long knowing that both of her parents were 8 yr. & 12yr. old bed wetters!

1.0 out of 5 stars I will not recommend this product., January 10, 2011

I bought it back in June 2010. I got it on time but the product was not working properly. It sounded unpredictably even the sheet was totally dry, not even moisture. I emailed this seller in the next week for exchange. The response was simple. We did not do exchange or return. Please talk to the manufacturer. I was upset. Personally, I will never buy from this seller again.

I am a very busy mom with an autistic boy. I did not have time for this and just stored the product back in the original box. When I finally made the call to the manufacturer a few months later. The manufacturer was as bad. Our warranty was just 90 days (or 60 days, I could not remember now), we would not allow you for exchange. I told them I had emails to show it was not working from the beginning and everything was still in the original box. The manufacturer said it was not their problem. It was my problem since the warranty period was past. This is the worst experience I even have on the online purchases.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible customer service on return of poor quality item, November 23, 2010

This item is very poor quality - it looks like it was made in the 70's. The plastic casing and switches are clearly sub-par for an electronic device, the velcro has safety pins on it to secure the alarm to a bed, and on top of that it did not even work at all! When we asked for a refund, they decided to replace it instead. When we refused delivery on the replacement item, they charged us a 25% restocking fee. The customer service rep was rude and flat-out lied to me about her conversation with my husband. All in all a terrible experience. Do not order this item and especially not from this company!

Update: we received a full refund including the restocking fee, but we had to go through the Amazon claims process to get it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay product. Easy to break., February 1, 2011

This works with a lot of fussing. You need to encase the pad in a pillow case or your child's sweat will trigger the alarm. The wires are not soddered together well and if your child drops the electric box the wires will pull apart, making the item useless. Make sure you pin or velcro the box to something stable so your child does not move it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for problem pets, August 3, 2009

Okay so I got this mat because my cat has a habit of urinating on rugs or anything that is left on the floor. I had no sooner put on the floor with a towel over the top when my cat immediately urinated on it. The alarm sounded and he has yet to urinate on another item since. Company should really mark it for pet training.

1.0 out of 5 stars Regretting this Purchase, April 28, 2011

We thought that this Bedwetting Alarm with Pad was the perfect solution for our son who just turned 7. He sometimes has accidents because he is a very sound sleeper. It didn't turn out the way we hoped. The alarm went off because he was sweating a little, not wetting his bed. I finally had to remove the pad because the alarm drove us crazy. Everytime we went up there, he was not wetting his bed. Don't waste your money on this pad, because you can't even return it.

The product kept going off when my son would move around on it and is too late by the time the child starts going they have already went all the way....NO way for him to stop it. Even more embarrassing for him. Wish I could exchange it now for the one that goes in the pants to compare with. My son is 12 years old and this is our last hope, but if the equipment isn't as good what can we do? So, not happy!Wet Call Bed-Side Bed wetting Alarm with Pad

4.0 out of 5 stars Have MUCH patience, March 4, 2010

This product does work, but you must be very patient. My daughters are VERY heavy sleepers, so they don't hear the alarm. It is loud enough, they just don't wake up to it everytime or in time. I used it on my 7 year old daughter for the past few months, and she is finally dry:> YIPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! She has gone over 2 weeks completely dry and is so very proud of herself. My 5 year old daughter is using it now. We will see how she does. She is not wet as often as my 7 year old was, so I'm hoping this will work more quickly on her. I am not having to wash the sheets as often and it is wonderful. The best thing about it is the happiness my girls feel when they are dry. I think the chart is the most encouraging part of it all. I made my own "pee pee chart". Each girl is to write down each morning whether they were dry or wet. Then they put a smiley face on the dry days. They love charting it. We don't make an issue out of it when they are wet. "No big deal, we'll try again tonight."
I like this product, but almost wish I would have bought the one that attaches to the underpants instead. That one triggers the alarm more quickly and is easier to travel with.
I'm just so grateful that we are finally getting there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't believe it, but it works...., August 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wet Call Bed-Side Bed wetting Alarm with Pad (Health and Beauty)
My son had never had a dry night in his life and he is seven years old. Our pediatrician recommended we try an alarm pad. The first week to week and a half were rough--he set it off 2 times a night so we were up and changing everything twice a night. Then suddenly, he would get up and go to the bathroom instead, so it went down to once a night, and just two weeks in, he hadn't set it off at all. He has had dry nights for almost two weeks now. I am amazed.
