Rick Helms has (yet again) kept me up all night!!! You've got to read his new tale about Pat Gallegher, ex-seminarian, ex-shrink, ex-legbreaker, now French-Quarter dive musician. "Wet Debt" brings back Pat, friends, enemies, and new aquaintances, including a half-way decent cop, and a handful of nonagenarians! When a body is found petrified in the concrete in the building adjoining Shorty's bar, Pat's curiosity goes into overdrive about people who lived 70 years ago, only to discover a slew of connections with people in his own time... people he'd rather forget. Yep, Helms has outdone himself yet again with this latest in the Pat Gallegher series. |
