In two hours of superb film and commentary you will learn how to fish a cast of wet flies in a manner practically unknown in North America. Davy Wotton a life-long wet fly fisherman from the UK will open your eyes to a method of fishing for trout that is both easy to master and very successful. The DVD contains chapters on Wet Fly Assortment, Selection of a Cast of Flies, the Configuration of a Cast of Flies, and the Knots used to make up the leader and the Cast of Flies. It also has chapters on Upstream Presentation, Short Across Stream Presentation, Long Across Stream Presentation, Downstream Presentation, and Intermediate Line Presentation. I found the video to be intresting but not really helpful. 11 ft. rods and wide open rivers are not the norm, 30 ft wide rivers if that, that are also lined with trees and brush that would snap any 11 ft rod are the norm. I did see those methods in use that I have only read about in other books such as those by Dave Hughes abd Syl Nemes. It was a nice video, but his method and equipment do not apply to my streams. I love wet flies and soft hackles, but again with some of stream being only a few feet across his plan is not useful

Generally, I'm not given to flowery oratory about video products. To be sure I have my favorites just like anybody else. But in the case of Mr. Wotton's offering I must say it is a very well done product. The camera work is very good to excellent. The backdrops and riverine scenery are wonderful! The commentary and technical discussions will be of help to just about anyone who has an interest in expanding their knowledge of fly fishing and particular aspects of this wonderful pass time. There is much to be learned here but the almost textbook chapter format of the video lends itself well to constant referencing of a particular subject or technique. For my part I'm very glad I stumbled across this very well done tutorial. Thank you.

A o.k. dvd lots of info ,so far hasn't produce anymore of a catch rate for me, knot tying very good.My rivers here are a little smaller than the dvd one so maybe some ways don't work very well.
