"We've All Got Bellybuttons!," written by David Martin and illustrated by Randy Cecil, is a picturebook that does more than just tell a story. It invites your young child to have fun with the characters. There are body parts to be identified, motions to be performed and, best of all, lots and lots of giggles.

The elephants start the fun with "We've got ears, and you do too. We can pull them. Can you?" Then, the story takes you through a series of animals who identify different body parts and the things they can do. Of course, they all want to know, "Can you?"

Cecil's illustrations are colorful and playful. It's easy to see how much the animals are enjoying showing off all the things they can do.

"We've All Got Bellybuttons!" is a book that is sure to promote lots of silly fun for you and your child.

This is a charming and completely involving book. David Martin's words are instantly familiar, and they will lead you and your child through a fun romp (stretching your neck like a giraffe is sure to arouse giggles!). As with his other painted books, Randy Cecil again creates the perfect fantasy world to get lost in. This is a fun little book, and the 5 stars are based on the reactions of other parents I've shown my copy to.

I agree with a couple of the other reviewers with the simple phrases being appropriate for younger than the recommended age of "4-8".

Our 2 year old recognizes the animals and body parts. The rhyme and interactive content of this simple book makes her laugh and giggle. This book gets at least one "More-more read!" each time it is read.

After its first read she was able to recall most of the words and read along. Good, simple fun.

this book is very cool - your child can interact with it. The artwork is nice, it's a fun one.

The young children I teach LOVE this book. The word "bellybuttons" grabs them right away, of course, but the delightful illustrations charm them - and best of all, the book is filled with actions that involve the whole body. There's learning here for the whole child, cognitively and physically - and it's fun! I highly recommend this wonderful book for read-aloud story time.

What a great book for the kids - it's interactive, so they can act along with the animals in the book. I sent it in to preschool with my daughter, and her teachers liked it so much they bought a copy for themselves!!! It's a short, catchy book, with great illustrations!! Love it!!

I bought this book for my daughter who is almost 4. The book is fun and she enjoys it. My only comment is this book has hardly any words per page so I'd recommend to start reading it for a much younger child. This is something she can almost read herself sounding out the words - very simple.

This is an incredibly fun and adorable book. We happened upon it at the library, and my 2-year old LOVED it. He would play along on each page and giggle hysterically when we arrived at the "bellybuttons" page (even before the tickling began). This book will be added to all of my baby shower and baby/toddler birthday gifts!
