I'm not sure what another reviewer found so awful about this book, because I found it delightful. In fact I came to Amazon looking to see if they published any additional volumes with more stories.

If you're looking for a non-scientific, emotionally filled collection of stories about charming interactions between whales and humans, than this is your book.

I plan to pass this on to my young nephew. I want him to appreciate the emotional side of animals.

This is one of the worse books I have ever had the misfortune of buying. I wouldn't waste even 1/16" of space on my bookshelf storing this one. Dumb stories about people and their first encounter with whales, ... oh please, what was the publisher thinking? My advice: Don't waste your $$$!
