Way to small to actually surf on and not good for boogie boarding either.
Darcy
If an adult were to step on this while it is sitting on the ground they would crush it.
Michelle Hovorka
It'd be helpful to have pictures of the bottom view, and a side view picture.

This Board is not a surfboard nor a boogie board aka body-board. This is not meant to be out submerged in ocean nor used to catch waves! DO NOT attempt or you can be injured. This particular board is like a skateboard on sand. How it works is you simply run with the board, drop it on shore (25ft away from water or enough to where water is still atop the sand)and you slide all the way until you hit shore! Once you hit that water, you can do cool tricks and is quite fun! They should have been more specific and labeled it as "Skim Board." either way this can be confusing! I elect they call them "Sand Boards." That would create less confusion and the title in itself should pop the magic question - "Hey, what is a sand board?" WOW! That was easy! I hope this helps you guys out! Switch it up now and try your hand at some slip n'sliding on sand! Wooohooo!

4 Stars just because the title is confusing for those not experienced on purchasing any surf, watersports product.

Of all the things I have purchased on Amazon, this may be the one I regret the most. The pictures somehow managed to deceive my brain into thinking that this was actually a boogie board/skimboard sized object, and that I could have a good time playing around on it.

Ah, if only I were two feet tall ...

This is a piece of foam, wrapped in some laser-printed material (no stomp pad texture or anything of that sort, just a graphic), that is about three feet long, or -- despite the typo -- about 40".

For what it is, it is way overpriced. As the reviewer wisely said on the "Pro" version (if only I had read that before buying this one): "This is a toy, not a surfboard [...] Save your money it's a pool toy, and an expensive one."

I second that.

This product is a styrofoam oval with a fibery-cloth cover (think reusable shopping bag). To the review that said it is a skim board - it is most definitely not! It is not appropriate for use in the ocean. If an adult were to step on this while it is sitting on the ground they would crush it. It is basically like a very cheap kickboard.

What a dissapointment! I read the reviews and was not expecting a sufboard. But I was expecting a skimboard (as mentioned in detail in another review), which is what I was looking for. If a 40 pound child stepped on this board on 2 inches of water it would break. You can find a better boogie at a department store or pharmacy for half the price. Did not return it since the shipping charges back and forth would have ended paying the same as the cost. I might use it as a tray around the boat. Truly sorry

This is just a narrow version of a typical length bodyboard - with the fin and all it's cute and definitely not meant to carry huge fast waves and people over a certain size (I'm a fairly short female and it works for me, though!)..
One thing - for the price I bought it at it's definitely a decent deal but now that I've come to write a review it's listed for about 90 bucks...WHAT? That's almost four times as much as I paid! Must be a fluke..

This ia a material covered styrofoam boogie board claimed to be a surf board. LUckily it has removable fins on the bottom and it is a bit longer than a boogie board otherwise my son would not have wanted it. Description was not specific on these points. For the price it is great and is built well.

Used it to teach my GF to Surf. I live on the Coast, Pacifica California and have surfed most my life. This thing is super easy to ride small waves with. Floaty and stable. It's not a $1100 custom longboard, it's not meant to be. It's a fun stick. It's about accessibility to the sport. This is a great starter board. If other surfers laugh who cares!!! With the fin in place it's slow enough to catch even 1-2' shorebreak. It's short enough to do cutbacks and basic down the line surfing. If you're a smaller person this is a great starter board. When it finally snaps in two it means it time to spend serious money on a nice Softtop. Until then laugh and have a blast.
