A kid's toy, a (small) dog's surfboard, but way overpriced at that!,

Of all the things I have purchased on Amazon, this may be the one I regret the most. The pictures somehow managed to deceive my brain into thinking that this was actually a boogie board/skimboard sized object, and that I could have a good time playing around on it.
Ah, if only I were two feet tall ... This is a piece of foam, wrapped in some laser-printed material (no stomp pad texture or anything of that sort, just a graphic), that is about three feet long, or -- despite the typo -- about 40". For what it is, it is way overpriced. As the reviewer wisely said on the "Pro" version (if only I had read that before buying this one): "This is a toy, not a surfboard [...] Save your money it's a pool toy, and an expensive one." I second that.

This Board is not a surfboard nor a boogie board aka body-board. This is not meant to be out submerged in ocean nor used to catch waves! DO NOT attempt or you can be injured. This particular board is like a skateboard on sand. How it works is you simply run with the board, drop it on shore (25ft away from water or enough to where water is still atop the sand)and you slide all the way until you hit shore! Once you hit that water, you can do cool tricks and is quite fun! They should have been more specific and labeled it as "Skim Board." either way this can be confusing! I elect they call them "Sand Boards." That would create less confusion and the title in itself should pop the magic question - "Hey, what is a sand board?" WOW! That was easy! I hope this helps you guys out! Switch it up now and try your hand at some slip n'sliding on sand! Wooohooo!
4 Stars just because the title is confusing for those not experienced on purchasing any surf, watersports product.

This ia a material covered styrofoam boogie board claimed to be a surf board. LUckily it has removable fins on the bottom and it is a bit longer than a boogie board otherwise my son would not have wanted it. Description was not specific on these points. For the price it is great and is built well.

Not bad, but a bit pricey,

This is just a cheap foam board covered with some fabric. An overpriced pool toy. I wanted it to be decoration to my nieces room, but the "warning" labels are actually printed on the top of the board and also the board looks way better on the picture, so it was also useless for that purpose too.

This is just a narrow version of a typical length bodyboard - with the fin and all it's cute and definitely not meant to carry huge fast waves and people over a certain size (I'm a fairly short female and it works for me, though!)..
One thing - for the price I bought it at it's definitely a decent deal but now that I've come to write a review it's listed for about 90 bucks...WHAT? That's almost four times as much as I paid! Must be a fluke..

Bought two of these boards both broke in half on the second day. Spend the extra money and buy a full size board.

Don't be fooled by the surfboard shape. We tried this last year, and it really is useless. Too narrow for a boogie board, too light and sinkable to use as a surfboard. Not sure why this is even on the market--it's that bad. May work as a party decoration or something--thus the one star it received.

It says that it is 40 feet long. Would you and twenty more Amazonees join me to go surfing on this 40 feet surfboard?
It'd be helpful to have pictures of the bottom view, and a side view picture. It'd be helpful to have the width dimensions, and thickness of this 40 footer surfboard. I'll need a flat bed truck to get this 40 footer surfboard to the beach for our Amazonee party! Come prepared. |
