Looks like they stopped production but I'll post this anyway.

Mine lasted about 10 runs with my 200lbs and some humps on the hill that got me airborn and landing hard, but I didn't expect it to last even that long. The frame tubes are joined by butting them together in sleeves and pinching each end with a bolt. This started pulling apart and retightening the bolts just dents the tube end more each time. I think through-drilling those pinch bolt holes and using longer bolts to go completely through would prevent the problem from the start. The second sled that I got for my small niece hasn't had any problems though.

The skis keep it floating somewhat on unpacked snow but it throws powder in your face and doesn't go very fast until the snow gets packed and then it's a screamer. It's turning ability was mild but useful; you can dodge obstacles with enough lead-time or stay in your old tracks for a lot more speed.

The rear cross tube ended up bruising my thighs from landing all the jumps but a piece of slip over foam insulation for 1/2" pipe can be zip-tied on to help that.

The sled was suprisingly light and I usually just carried it back up the hill instead of towing it.

I recommend this sled for people 150lbs or so and hope they resume production. The price was right at 2009's spring clearance too; $65.

This sled arrived from Amazon in perfect condition. The sled is absolutely awesome on a little bit of fresh snow. Will pack it down in a couple runs and then it is FASTTTTTT!! ... I agree with a previous poster in that the control will not allow you to slalom with it but it is more than adequate to avoid obstacles during the run (My sled course requires a 80 degree turn to avoid trees and it handles that without a problem. The video clip is of another hill that we sled down and this sled handles straight runs better than others.... look at how far we travel beyond the other tracks (the few longer ones were from me!!)

I would highly recommend this sled. I weigh 200 lbs and have not had a problem with it in 30+ runs.

This sled is great. A lot like the old wooden flyer, but lighter weight. The mesh body is strong and let's snow just brush off. The best part is you can steer it, my 11 year old loves it.

This sled is super fast for all snow conditions. My son got on this thing and flew down our front yard on about 1/2 inch of snow and kept going across the street . . . . there was no snow on the street, just asphalt!!! The steering is not as responsive as the old steel runner sleds, but pretty good. Easily the fastest sled on the hill!!

Paid a little extra for quick shipping to be sure this arrived in time for one of the rare snows we get where I live - and it arrived in time and in perfect condition. We had a BALL with it. This is a very controllable sled and very fast. For kids it is probably more than strong enough. It handled my bulk (170 lbs or so) with no problems, but I wouldn't recommend adults jump onto this sled (say from a running start. . . ); the main platform is fabric and may not hold up to excessive abuse by heavy riders. Also, the runners are plastic. Fine for their purpose of sliding across snow, but you will want to avoid sledding across patches of pavement or exposed rock as this will scar up the runners quickly. This sled is also very light, which makes it easy to toss into the back of the truck and go. Easy for kids to handle, too. Quite a bit lighter and more steerable than the old-fashioned wooden sleds with metal runners. Also more comfortable to ride.

Bought this sled based on the previous reviews and it's turned out to be everything and more. The build quality seems to be good but you have to tighten the nuts and bolts about every 2nd ride. No biggie. It is by far the fastest and most popular sled on the hill and flies when the snow is packed and works well when the snow is more powder based. I've probably sold another 1/2 dozen of these since I got mine. Can't speak of durability yet but as one previous reviewer said, if you're jumping, you need to put padding on the back bar, your knees will thank you for it later.

The only problem my grandchildren found with this sled is that it works almost too well! It slides so easily on the snow that it goes much faster than a typical sled so it may actually be a little dangerous. It races down the hill farther and faster than the kids were used to, but they love it.
