WASTE OF MONEY,
By Andrea Lowell "Andrea Lowell" (New York NY) - See all my reviews

What a disappointment! My son bought one of these with his Christmas money, and it is a complete DUD. It doesn't "blast" snowballs, it launches them (if you can call it that) with a disappointing thud, about a foot from where it started.
Wham-O advertises this item relentlessly. This is a good opportunity for you to talk to your kid about truth in advertising! Don't waste your money.

You're better off throwing the snow balls yourself!,
This review is from: WHAM-O SnowBall Blaster (Sports)
The only good thing about the WHAM-O SnowBall Blaster is that it makes smooth nice shaped snow balls. However, it still takes some time to pack in the snow. Anyway, if you're looking for something to allow you to shoot snow balls at a distance and with some force, then I suggest you look somewhere else.

This was the worst 40 bucks I have ever spent. The piece of junk doesn't even hardly shoot showballs... when it does it just lobs them pathetically even if you pack one perfectly. So mad I wasted my money!

My grandsons were so excited we had a white Christmas to try their snowball blaster. It only made half snowballs-- a waste of money!!

This is junk. It is next to impossible for an adult to use it much less a child. The slingshot style launcher is difficult to pull back and the way it is set up inside the "launcher" makes it very awkward to use. My son was extremely disappointed!! i can't believe they are still selling this garbage.

My 11 year old son purchased this for a weekend in the snow with cub scouts. It was popular for 5 minutes. The boys had a tough time shooting the snowballs and when I tried it I could not get the snowball to go very far either and not at all with any accuracy.

Help your children win the neighborhood arms race with what is basically a snowball slingshot. (My precocious 8-year-old asked me if it would work with rocks; I responded, probably, and if I ever catch him using it with rocks, he'll never see it again! It would probably also work with small water balloons.) In my experience it can fling a snowball 10 or 20 yards with ease and considerable accuracy, without straining the rubber tubing; however, it does require a strong pull, which younger children may have some difficulty with.
The three snowball mold on top is quite useful for molding snowballs that will fit in the slingshot but is not a good place to store ready reloads because the recoil tends to pop out any snowballs left in it, even if you close the lid. The mold handle can be situated on either side, depending on the user's handedness or personal preference, by simply unscrewing it and switching it around. It comes with a nylon target that we haven't bothered to use (because it is so much more fun to fire snowballs at people). Other options are available: Wham-O Arctic Force Snowball Blaster 3 2-Pack (Blue), Wham-O Arctic Force Snowball Blaster Solo, Wham-O Snow Trac Ball, Wham-O Arctic Fun Pack Assortment.

Personaly I think its a GOOD invention. The Sling Shot part of the blaster is hard to pull at first but after a while it breaks in. I hope this helped.

Wham-O Snowball Blaster is the most incredible gift that my 12 year old grandson received. Snow packs in great and the sling-shot action throws the snow a good distance.
