The Wharfedale Emerald 91 is a midsize, rear-ported bookshelf speaker containing a 6-inch mineral-loaded polymer woofer and a 1-inch silk-dome high-frequency driver for the tweeter. A rear-firing port enhances the bass frequencies and adds to the Emerald's warm, open sound. This speaker has a rated power handling of 100 watts with 8 ohms nominal impedance, making it capable of handling the output of more powerful amplifiers without distortion.
The speakers are housed in a real-wood veneer cabinet with black grilles. A wedge carved into the base of the cabinet subtly adds to the aesthetic quality of the rich oak color. And at only 19.8 inches high and 11 inches deep, the Emerald 91 will fit easily into almost any room.
Wharfedale provides a five-year warranty on parts and labor.
